Im not 100% sure but i read somewhere during my hours of research 😂 that LH in some people can stay high until there period or BFP arrives. Have you been tracking for long? X

LLBandTTC · 28/01/2020 18:44

Do a pregnancy test!

caffeinefix · 28/01/2020 18:48

I had my BFP this month but had one CB and one cheap OPK so used them just for the fun of it. They were positive Smile do a test

xxlannixx · 28/01/2020 19:00

@LLBandTTC I did a pregnancy test yesterday afternoon just to check but it was a BFN.

@Trying2019 This is my first month of tracking. Someone mentioned consistant high LH is a sign of PCOS but i conceived my first DD 8 years ago without any complications.

@caffeinefix you had a BFP on pregnancy test or ovulation test?

You only have one positive - the peak reading. The others are negative. It's common to have LH in your system throughout your cycle. It's only positive when line is as dark as or darker than control line, which by the photos looks like the peak reading only.

caffeinefix · 28/01/2020 19:06

I had a positive pregnancy test. Then just to use up my OPKs I used them and they were also positive. So, it's true when you're pregnant you can have a positive OPK too Smile

xxlannixx · 28/01/2020 19:07

@DesLynamsMoustache thank you for the response. Its just strange that i have had a few days of quite dark lines. Think im going to leave testing a couple of days a test again end of the week?

@caffeinefix Huge congrats!! How far are you now? How soon into cycle did you test?

Livingmagicallyagain · 28/01/2020 19:08

Yes, as PP said, most of these are negative. Even the peak reading isn’t positive, but very close. Your actual positive/LH surge was likely the day before, so day 14.

xxlannixx · 28/01/2020 19:11

@Livingmagicallyagain thanks for your advice, really appreciate it. This was tonights abit clearer.negative?

I think 20th & 22nd should be classed as low IMO, don't know why the apps picked it up as high?
I would say todays is your highest so far, hopefully you'll get a peak tomorrow morning

caffeinefix · 28/01/2020 19:40

Thanks @xxlannixx I'm only 4 1/2 weeks so very early days. I've had two miscarriages so hoping this one sticks. I have a shortish cycle of 25 days and ovulated on CD10/11. I got my BFP last Tuesday, 9DPO and AF was due Friday.

I think your last OPK is definitely positive.

xxlannixx · 28/01/2020 21:11

@caffeinefix Im sorry to hear of your miscarriages. I have my fingers crossed for you. 2020 is your year. I think it is a positive one too annoying as last time me and OH did the deed was sunday eve as he works away and he isnt back until thirsday night. Typical.

Sperm can live inside for up to 5 days so you're still in with a chance Smile thanks so much. Good luck and hope you get your BFP soon x

Livingmagicallyagain · 29/01/2020 10:32

Oh exciting! Looks like your LH has been up and down (perhaps your body tried to ovulate around day 14/15?) and yesterday evening it’s peaking again? Looks almost positive, if not there!

How is it today?

LHA surge only means your body is trying to ovulate. Only BBT confirms ovulation. Fingers crossed for you!!!

xxlannixx · 29/01/2020 12:38

@Livingmagicallyagain it was definitely the darkest so far last night. Will try again tonight as that seems to be when it picks it up the best.
Going to try BBT next months cycle.

Maybe invest in clear blue alongside the cheap ones if its not clear. They are expensive but if you use them sparingly only when your cheap ones are darker its not too bad. Xx

xxlannixx · 29/01/2020 18:02

@Trying2019 i think i might bext month as i cant keep up with this. So bizarre!
