Colposcopy and ttc

Just wanted some experiences on this?

TTC #1 since November and had MC at 7 weeks at xmas.

Had a smear test in november that showed mild changes and hpv so have to go for colposcopy on 11th Feb.

But this will be around 5-6 dpo and i am worried it might prevent implantation or harm the cervix especially if they take a sample.

What do you think?

That's a really good question and to be honest i can't offer any advice, if I was you I would speak to a health professional maybe. Good luck x

Should be fine- I had one in the middle of my pregnancy (I'd had bleeding with a history of cin3 that had been treated)

The actual exam is just a camera aimed into the vagina and then usually iodine painted onto the cervix. I doubt it would affect implantation in the uterus as its a very small sample taken from the eternal part of the cervix but you could always decline a biopsy until a later date if in any doubt x
