Faint line after the test time

Took a test this afternoon 9DPO - can anyone see the second line? It is pink in colour but it didn't really appear until around the 5 minute mark (it's a FRER and it says to read it at 3 minutes) we've been trying for 2 years and this is our second round of clomid. I have never seen any second line at all before. Please help!

I can def see a line and looks pink! I've just my bfp last week and had faint lines like this that I could only really see after the time limit, fingers crossed it looks promising!

PurpleRayne89 · 25/01/2020 17:21

@LaurenN23 hello love. That’s definitely a line so congratulations. How many days post ovulation are you? It should begin to get darker over the next couple of days also.

If that’s a first response, one link due tests are more reliable and two they are not known to provide fake positives so it’s 100% a + test.

Anny27 · 25/01/2020 17:22

I think that's positive lovely :) they say read at 3 minutes but read within 10 minutes so definitley within the limit :)

KADAQ1 · 25/01/2020 17:37

I can see it. Congratulations

LaurenN23 · 25/01/2020 17:42

Thank you everyone. Definitely not getting excited yet - I'm hoping and praying that tomorrow morning there is still a line on a new test and that is shows up in the time limit!

@PurpleRayne89 thank you, it is a FRER test and I ovulated 9 days ago. Keeping everything crossed 🤞🏻 x

Oh I think that's a line! Looks like mine at 4 days after a 5 day old embryo was transferred (IVF) which is the equivalent of 9dpo!

Fingers crossed - be sure to keep us updated, there's nothing better than seeing that line get darker and darker! Good luck!

muddypuddles12 · 25/01/2020 17:55

That is 99.99999999% a line!!!!!!

wannabemummy123 · 25/01/2020 21:07

That looks like my first line !! 5 mins is a good time. It's past 10 mins if something appears that you wouldn't pay any attention to it!

Fingers crossed. Deffo let us know tomorrow or maybe Monday instead xx

muddypuddles12 · 25/01/2020 21:43

Yes please do keep us updated! Over the moon for you

LaurenN23 · 25/01/2020 21:48

Will do! Will probs test again in the morning. Doing everything I can not to get too excited, it just doesn't seem like it could be real! Will let you know tomorrow x

BFN for me this morning 😢 absolutely devastated, yesterdays must have a been a faulty test 💔

@LaurenN23 I had a week of faint positives on FRER test, just like yours. Unfortunately they never got any darker and resulted in a chemical pregnancy, as AF just arrived as normal. I'm very cautious about taking early tests before AF due date. Sorry for your disappointment, it's heartbreaking x

LaurenN23 · 26/01/2020 09:07

@Trying2b I'm really sorry to hear that 💕 my gut tells me that's what's happened here too, surely it would have remained a positive, especially with FMU. After 2 years of heartache this is just so cruel 😞

OP posts:
Trying2b · 26/01/2020 09:24

Yeah I would have thought so! It's strange to be negative today. Maybe yesterday's test was an evap line, although I don't think so in that time frame. Who knows, it's a complete roller-coaster isn't it! You're still early, it could still happen for you. Are you feeling any other symptoms? I had very sore boobs, was occasionally dizzy and had a low heavy feeling in my womb. I've been pregnant before so I knew the signs. Fingers crossed for you xx

blackcat86 · 26/01/2020 09:52

Sorry to hear that. Could you wait a few days and get a digital test? I couldn't cope with the lack of clarity on the others. I needed it in black and white.

LaurenN23 · 26/01/2020 10:23

@Trying2b just slightly sore boobs but nothing else :/ don't feel hopeful now - just cried all morning.

@blackcat86 yes I will do - will probably wait for AF now if I can wait. Feel so so sad

Ahhh @LaurenN23 I'm so sorry to read your update . . . I had a couple of chemicals and it's really upsetting. Hang in there Thanks

LaurenN23 · 26/01/2020 10:29

@RedPandaFluff did the same thing happen to you with the tests? BFP to BFN?

OP posts:
wannabemummy123 · 26/01/2020 11:28

Babe maybe give it a day or two and do another. You're not out until AF arrives ... when are you due? Xx

muddypuddles12 · 26/01/2020 11:46

Oh darling, it's not over until the fat lady sings (or Aunt Flo as we like to call her). Your turn will come!
Is it too early for one of those first response tests that literally says - pregnant / not pregnant? I know they're expensive and obviously can't be used all the time but just to put your mind at rest? Thanks

muddypuddles12 · 26/01/2020 11:48

Sorry I mean clear blue! That's what we used in the end because I just wanted it in front of my eyes - yes or no.

RedPandaFluff · 26/01/2020 11:54

@LaurenN23 - yes, a faint positive went darker over the next couple of tests and we were so happy, then it started to fade away as I kept testing over the following days and by 14dpo it was a stark negative. This was after our second IVF cycle so it was really heartbreaking to feel so much joy followed by so much pain and disappointment.

There are positives to take from it, though - it shows that you CAN get pregnant. You released an egg and your partner's sperm fertilised it and it implanted.

You mentioned you'd been trying for two years - have you had any fertility investigations? There are so many minor issues that can be easily remedied - baby aspirin for clotting issues, mild steroids for immune responses, anticoags etc.

LaurenN23 · 26/01/2020 16:00

I've just done another test, only drank 1 cup of tea and waited 5 hours. This one came up just after 2 mins! Not sure if either last night I had too many fluids and therefore the test couldn't pick it up this morning or if a chemical is looming. What do you all think?

I'm due on Wednesday/Thursday and I'm 10DPO today.

Wish I had never tested so early now 😞complete head f**k

Thanks so much to you all for your support
