Help with OPKs. I'm going crazy

Hi!

So I'm am currently on cycle day 57 (cycle 2) after stopping pill Hmm

I know I really should have started the opks from the beginning but as I have no idea where I am, and mainly just to help myself stop going mad with the long cycle I decided to do a few over past 3 days...

This is what I have got. I dont understand.
First 2 was nearly as dark as control line (I'm guessing negative) then today no line at all. What can this mean? I thought they as supposed to gradually get darker until I ovulate.

Hey didn't want to read and leave you with no replies.

You've got it the wrong way around 😊 if the test and control lines are equally as dark as each other (or test line slightly darker than the constant control then) then that's POSITIVE. Only one single control line is negative.

What you've done with those tests is somehow test on your peak LH test day, which is why the day after your other test has gone back to negative. So you're ovulating either today or tomorrow, as we typically release an egg 12-36 hours after an LH surge.

It might be useful for you to do some research into OPKs so you know exactly what to look for, so you're not second guessing yourself. Oh and have some sex today and tomorrow!!!!

So out of all the 57 days I have actually managed to start testing at the time I'm ovulating!!
Damn. I may have missed it :(
Thanks very much for replying

I would just start again next month. OPKs can be unreliable imo. It's useful to know a rough ovulation date. But as long as you are dtd as much as possible from early in your cycle, then you will probably have success

@Annajay12 I randomly started testing after mirena removal and surprised to catch a peak on my strips coz this is all new and my body doesn't even know what's happening to it at the moment.
If I'm wrong then at least I've been able to learn enough from on here lol. X
