Fluid in endometrial lining

Hi ladies, hoping for some advice & hopefully someone here has been through this before. I had a ultrasound scan in September following changes in my cycle & increased pain since I had my ds 15 months ago. The scan found a small cyst so I was brought back this week to make sure it hadn't gotten any bigger. The cyst is gone however the radiographer said I had a lot of fluid in my endometrial lining which she said was very unusual at that point in my cycle (day 10).
I stupidly googled it (terrible idea for anything I know!!). I got so many different answers fur what could be the cause from infection to cancer but I'm trying not to think too much about that!! I also saw that this fluid could affect fertility, is that correct? Wondering if anyone could shed some light on this? Might it just go away by itself?
