Confusing pregnancy tests?!

Hi everyone!

So I've been trying to conceive now for around 7 months: in September I had a chemical pregnancy.
Jan was the first month that I didn't look at ovulation days, not even too sure when my period is due but I think between Friday and Monday?

Anyway, I've been feeling nauseous and dizzy which led me to take a test on Monday, I had a positive result which came up within a couple of minutes and it was very clear and coloured pink: on Tuesday I had a negative and then a faint positive. Today I have had three complete negatives! Its led me to being so confused, has anyone had any similar problems?

I've been getting loads of symptoms! Nausea, dizziness, my stomach feeling really full and stretched. Sore breasts, strange taste in mouth and extreme fatigue! Also been having weird dreams. I understand that alot of these are PMS symptoms too but I've just not felt my usual PMS self! Any guidance/advice would be really appreciated! My boyfriend is happy to just wait until next week to test but I'm so impatient! Just wondering if anyone else had any similar experiences? Smile

Were they different brands? Some are more sensitive than others. It's so common to get false negatives (ie testing too early etc) but a false positive is almost impossible. It's pretty certain you're pregnant Smile

Thanks for your response travellover Smile they were different brands but the positive ones were cheap ones from the coop (also had negative from the same brand!) and then the negatives were clearblue and first response! Usually I would also think that I was pregnant but I had a weird thing like this a few months ago where I had one positive test (what I thought was positive) and then loads of negative tests followed by AF! I showed my boyfriend the positive one on Monday as he is always sceptical over being overly optimistic (like meBlush), but even he said that it looked like a clear positive, but then said in the same sentence we've had this before which we have! It's just a very confusing time and I'm trying to stop myself from testing over and over again! I appreciate your reply as my boyfriend is completely laid back and says to just wait until next week when we can test again and doesn't think that theres alot to talk about, it's just always on my mind, the uncertainty is awful!

Hi @Lunacat96 I had false positives on the coop ones and negatives on every other test. I wasn’t pregnant.

Fingers crossed you get your BFP soon x

Yes I think it was the coop ones that I had a false positive with the other month! Definitely will not be buying them again, the disappointment is the worst!
