Hi, new to the site.
I'm 34 and been trying on and off since i was 18 to have a baby, had marriage breakup and couple relationship breakups in that time.. I've never been successful, however.. never tried really hard and for 12 years I was with someone who eventually turned out to be infertile which explains that... my current relationship is 6 years! We are now desperate for a baby and my age is very against me.. without going into detail during to my partner's problems we cannot conceive in the natural way (we have to use syringe method.. long story but yeah) anyway... I have been doing the ebay ovulation test strips for about 2 years and not once have they said I'm ovulating but I read some women they just dont show up for.. I've had tests a few years back and said I was and normal levels etc .. my periods are very irregular and i can go 6 months or more without having one... so as you can imagine it's very very hard to get anywhere... we did the business (in a sense) about 6 weeks before xmas and within 2 weeks of that i became extremely moody, upset, erratic etc.. for about a week.. then i was ok. For last 3 weeks i have had very very sore nipples (unbearable at times) and now its easing unless they get cold then again its unbearable.. they seem hard most of the time too! I keep getting waves of feeling sick unless I wat.. I am eating ridiculous amounts of food! Very sensitive and smallest thing makes me cry. I've done 2 pregnancy tests.. clear blue.. both negative! Yet I am convinced I might actually be pregnant! I'm terrified of going to my GP so not wanting to do that just yet lol. I do BBT temp chart every day on an app, and that points to pregnancy I think but again not sure.. is there a way I can post a screenshot on here?

Sorry for long post but what do you guys think?

Perhaps wait a few days and test first thing with a different brand? Unfortunately none of us can tell you!

Yes

Thanks. Done yet another test and negative.
If ovulation strips dont work for me then I'm wondering if it could be same for pregnancy strips?

Test with a FRER and use your first wee of the day

urbansloth · 21/01/2020 17:04

@Soph88889 what brand of test are you doing? Maybe try an FRER as they are the most sensitive I believe

Thanks all xxx

Honestly at this stage I’d be going to my GP for fertility testing, it’s not normal to go 6 months without a period and the sooner you go the sooner you can resolve the issues and hopefully get your baby.

urbansloth · 21/01/2020 19:31

I do agree with @Mooey89 - there are a few things in there that would raise some red flags for me. Better to know and they can help you sort it out 😊👍 best of luck.

As above, I would suggest going to the GP to explain your circumstances exactly as you have here. Best of luck in your TTC journey x
