Have I messed up?

I've been using the clear blue ovulation tests. The ones that give you the flashing smiley and the static ones. I got flashing smiley today but have just realised I've been testing twice a day prior to this. Could this mess up the reading? Is the first time you test the baseline or does it look for a surge between each test?

It depends if you have pregnancy hormone or not in your pee, that's what the test picks up. If you are saying you got a positive test just after getting a negative I very much doubt the test would get you a false positive...

@toomanyleggings I used those this month, I think they set the baseline from your first test and then after that it looks for a surge comparing it to the first. that's why you'll always get a blank circle very first time you test.
now that you've got a flashing face keep testing twice a day, I got my static on the 6th day of flashing face but in the evening (I was starting to think I wouldn't get it) good luck!

@biscuit13 I rang the helpline on the box and they said each time you test it's a new baseline so you shouldn't test in the afternoon/ twice a day until you get a flashing smiley.

I'm just really keen to use these as they worked perfectly last time I was ttc first month

@toomanyleggings ah so it compares each time to the last time you tested?
yeh I did once a day and then when I got flashing I did twice a day. will they still work for you this month?

Only in detecting the peak fertility. The high fertility flashing smiley I got this morning might not be a true high reading because I was comparing last night's afternoon urine ( watered down) with fmu 🤦🏼‍♀️. I'll keep texting looking for peak though

@biscuit13 yes it compares to the last time you tested rather than the very first test you do
