Fertility reflexology?

Currently on 5th cycle TTC and read about fertility reflexology and thought I would give it a try.
I’m booked in for Tuesday which will be CD 9. Last month I got my positive OPK on day 12 and had 23 day cycle.
I’m going there with a fairly open mind and don’t expect miracles, an hour of relaxation is a good enough excuse to go!

Has anyone had any experiences with fertility reflexology? How many sessions did any of you have? Did it help you at all? Any stories welcome!
TIA x

Not had it but bumping for you. I would like to try this and accupuncture when i eventually ttc. My sister used to be a reflexologist and she believes that it helps destress your whole body and promote good blood flow. Either way the relaxation aspect should be good.

I had this done this cycle - I was supposed to have a fertility massage on my abdomen, but I was too ticklish!! So she did full body and some reflexology on hands and feet. I'm 9DPO now, so we'll see - either way, it felt nice and can't be bad, so defo worth a shot!

I don't know about fertility reflexology but I'm sure it helped bring on my labour when I was pg with Dd! Won't do any harm anyway! X

I've heard of people having acupuncture. If you can afford it, try it. You've nothing to lose.

Thanks everyone! Quite looking forward to trying something different!

Been TTC for 12 months now, tried reflexology for the last 3 months, twice a month. Still no BFP 🙁

Nat4392 · 20/01/2020 19:59

@sabtom how often have you been having sessions? I’ve heard some people have had them weekly. That would just be a no for me cost/time wise

@Nat4392 I went twice in a cycle. So around cd 3/4 and then again on cd 12/13, just before I would ovulate. That's the times my reflexologist recommended. She did say I can do it any time of the month, but before ovulation would be more beneficial. At £60 a go it got quite expensive and I've not been this month, but it was sooooo relaxing I'm tempted to go back just for the relaxation and not necessarily for the fertility purposes.

MrsMGE · 20/01/2020 22:30

I had it for a few months after my MMC. Didn't help with getting pg, but brought my ovulation forward and was very relaxing. You're definitely not meant to have it weekly and a good reflexologist will not offer conception reflexology in the luteal phase as this type of cervix stimulation is not recommended in the luteal phase when you may have conceived. You can still have standard reflexology, however. Conception reflexology sessions are recommended a week/few days before your anticipated fertile period. X

Well my first session is today so I’ll see how it is and what they recommend. I’m CD 9 so prob a good time to do it then

Well just got back from the session, it was really lovely. It was all foot reflexology and I felt very relaxed and it’s something I’m going to do regularly. She said it does not matter what point in your cycle you have the sessions and said some ladies have it weekly/fortnightly/monthly. I’ve opted for fortnightly. We shall see if it helps!

I’ve just tried a session 8 dpo.

CurlyNo2 · 12/09/2020 20:45

I'm 100% confident the reflexology helped me conceive my son who is now 4. I had about 4-5 sessions.

Nat4392 · 12/09/2020 21:43

Well I’ve still been having it and no joy for me yet! Now on cycle 14. Had all my tests and everything has come back as normal, just waiting for DH SA. (I didn’t have any reflexology March-July). I’ve been having fortnightly sessions. Honestly even if it doesn’t do anything, I enjoy it!
