Hi, I'm in the market for a fertility monitor. Have been looking at the Clearview monitors, particularly the Advanced Fertility Monitor and the Connected Ovulation Test. The first claims to "increase your chances by 89%" whilst the second says it's "proven to double your chances". I'm not the best at stats, and as the reliablility is written in completely different ways for each I can't work out which is the more reliable. It would be helpful is either both were written as a percentage, or both as a fractions. Does 'double your chance' mean it makes it 50% more likely to get you pregnant or 100% or 200%?
The tests both seem to measure the same hormones. The Connected test is soooo much cheaper than the advanced test as its only £33 for 25 tests, so obviously appeals more than the advanced machine (which is £80 before I've even bought the test strips) but only if it works just as well or better. Does anyone have any knowledge of these tests, or can read the 'science' better than I can? Its seems written to deliberately confuse!
