AF due 20th. Most reliable early detection test?

Hi ladies. I am on cycle 2 ttc. I'm due AF on 20th, is it worth testing today using an early detection pregnancy test and if so, which brand?

I'm so nervous. This would be my first.
I have sore breast and no sign of my AF coming which I normally do get. Hopefully this is it?!

How exciting!! Everybody says that First response early test is the best they are super sensitive and should be able to detect pregnancy 6 days before your missed AF!!
Hope you get your BFP!!!!

I tested the day after my missed period which was Sunday, and had the darkest line on the frer!! 4 months after having my tube removed due to a ruptured ectopic pregnancy.

@PrincessDi just another note... the only reason why I decided to take a pregnancy test was because I didn't have any of my normal signs of AF coming like I usually get horrible PMS like a week before my period was due and I literally didn't feel a thing... my boobs are never sore before my period but they were super sensitive and heavy I thought that was really strange... so I test and boom a BFP!

Congratulations to you! Wow, you must be so happy. Do you know how far along you are? Sorry to read about your tube.
I know what you mean about getting no symptoms before AF,same thing is happening to me....so hoping I will get a BFP like you :) xx

I was the same I didn't want to test before my AF was due because last month I was convinced I was pregnant had all the typical pregnancy symptoms went mental testing before my period and my period came I was so disheartened so this month I promised myself I wouldn't do the same.. so waited till my period was late to test! I know seeing the negative tests are absolutely horrific! 😩

I'm about 5 weeks or so still really early because of my previous ectopic I'm under the early pregnancy unit care at my local hospital so I had a scan on Thursday I'm way to early to have anything show up... but they showed me a gestational structure in my womb!! So looks like the baby is in the right place! Thank God!! It's still super early for me though so I know anything can still happen... I had my HCG bloods taken on Thursday also the results were positive around 3100 miu so I have to go back in today to have repeats done to see if it's doubling like it should... pretty nervous tbh 😩😂

Absolutely you arnt out until AF shows up! And having no symptoms was definitely my biggest symptom so praying yours will be positive!!! Xxx

Wow! You must be quite anxious, that's alot to go through and I can imagine you are worrying because of what unfortunately happened before. But I'm sure everything will be fine this time I will say a prayer for you lovely xx

I've got the test now I just have to do it but I am nervous as I dont wanna get disappointed. Do u think I should wait until after AF due? Xx

Hi @PrincessDi. You might want to wait until tomorrow and test with first morning urine. At this time in the day you're less likely to get a BFP even if you are pregnant. If you really can't wait, make sure you hold for a good few hours and don't drink much to make it concentrated.

@PrincessDi yeah the anxiety is well and truely there! 😂 just have to hang tight and see how everything goes!!

It is best to use first morning urine because it is more concentrated and you will get the most accurate result if you are going to test I agree with previous poster make sure you hold your wee in for as long as you can so it's not so diluted!!
Even if you test and it comes out negative don't be disheartened by that it might just be abit too early and if that is the case I'd definitely re-test if your period is late!!! Have my fingers and toes crossed for your BFP!!! 🤞🥰xxx

Thank you for the advise ladies it really has helped me.
I'm not going to test today (so I don't disappoint myself) I will test first thing in the morning when AF is due and hopefully I will see a BFP!!
