Help! Being trolled by body and tests...

So confused as to what is going on now. I thought I had a shot last month but then I had the worst cramps ever and bled 3 days around 5th Jan. Assumed this is period and proceeded to start over for this new cycle. I've had a few really strong OPKS this week which is odd as a week before the new fertile window is predicated. I took a few pregnancy test on the offchance and they are positive! I'm now so freaking confused as the bleeding was enough to make me think a period and the cramps are the worst I've experienced for a while and over a few days. On positive test indicates 1-2 weeks but we haven't had sex since 26th dec! Does anybody know if this is chemical or what could be going on with my body? I'm reluctant to think this is real given timing makes no sense and I've had no temp rise - really don't know why these tests are picking something up.

I think you are. Especially as the digital says you are. My sister had bleeding for couple days during her pregnancy and she now has a very healthy 20 month old! Best of luck and FX for you.

My cousin had full periods for the first 6 months of her (successful) pregnancy. It can be normal. Maybe see a GP to discuss.

Heavy bleeding can happen when pregnant- I did in both my ectopic (had a normal period before finding out I was pg) and then several heavy bleeds with my now 17mo until I was about 3m pregnant (cus mc worries each time!) It's can be implantation bleeding or the hormones making your cervix more likely to bleed (I had cervical erosion which
they think was the cause of my bleeds) or even things like small haematomas. Register with a midwife so they can check you over and good luck! X

I wouldn't get too hung up on the clearblue dates, they gave me a scare when I was PG with DS as I had bleeding and when I should have been 3-4 weeks it was still reading as 1-2. I looked it up online and it's really common that they get the weeks wrong. I had quite a bit of bleeding with DS which was due to cervical erosion and thankfully was all fine. I would contact your local early pregnancy unit and ask for advice they will probably get you in for a scan at 6 weeks (is the earliest they will do). Good luck x
