Hello

I gave birth to my second child April 2019. I breastfed for 4 months (July) but since then I have only had 2 pwriods which are 8 weeks apart. I had 1 in October 2019 and then one in December 2019 and still nothing for my 3rd period. I have always been every 5 weeks anyway but I am getting slightly worried is this normal. We would like more children and like the though of having them close together so in the next few months we were thinking of trying again. But worried I may not be ovulating. I have started using ovulation sticks also and they keep saying not ovulating. Has this happened to anyone else? Thank you xx

It is quite normal, periods are often irregular while breastfeeding. It is not something to worry about although I understand it can be an inconvenient when you are actively TTC (my case but unlike you, my period is not even back yet).

Thank you! I just wasn't sure as I stopped breastfeeding 6 months ago now. With my first born my periods came back after only 8 weeks and were quite regular. I suppose every pregnancy is different. Xx
