Periods after d&c

Hi all, I had a d&c back in October. I’ve had my November & December period and am on my January one now. We’ve been ttc this whole time but no luck. My periods are still dead on 27 days but this third one seems to be so much lighter although my pms was absolutely horrible.

Does it just take a while for periods to settle again? There’s no way we’d successfully conceive at this rate; there’s not enough blood for my walk to be thick enough.

I’m so worried something is wrong.

Sorry that should say my CYCLES are 27 days; not my periods!

Bumping this for you op because I'm in a similar boat, had a d&c in October as well and exactly the same on the light periods. I don't have an answer other then the doctor wouldnt do a blood test to checky ovulation or a scan to check everything was 'ok' post surgery. I know this might be disheartening but I took it more reassuringly that I'm probably completely fine and it is just the body taking a while to get back to itself.

I was pregnant for three months and now ive been not pregnant for nearly the same amount of time so I'm kind of seeing February as a proper fresh start

Have you been to the doctors at all post surgery? How old are you also?

Thanks for sharing. It’s so frustrating that there’s no follow up after d&c- my miscarriage was in August but after failed conservative and failed medical I ended up with surgery.

First 2 periods were more normal, just this recent one is so light. My pms is crazy though; I feel crazy the days before, exhausted, crying etc. So much worse than before!

I’m 32 and we got pregnant on our first try after I had my copper iud removed. It’s so bloody frustrating!

You’re right, it’s just our bodies getting back to normal I suppose. And in the grand scheme of things we’ve only been trying a little while (if you’re the same as me) but it feels like forever!

I’m going to the docs next Wednesday... What have they said to you when you’ve been?

Hi RLA87, did you fall pregnant successfully eventually? I'm on the same boat, had 2 miscarriages and after the second d&c surgery my periods got extremely light only lasts 2 days with weird consistency. It's my 4th period this month still the same. We've been ttc for 3rd cycles now but got no luck:( I got pg with my dd on first try so it's hard not to think the d&c messed up everything :(
