Hi OP unfortunately as much as people say you can't rely on good line progression as an indication of whether it's going to be a viable pregnancy or not - it's always been accurate for me sorry x

Melbs6 · 14/01/2020 08:01

It could be due to your urine being more diluted. I tested every day for about 20 days (I’m definitely a POAS addict) and sometimes the line would be fainter because my urine was more diluted.

The line should get darker over time, but try not to stress if it doesn’t every day. Test again in a few days and see

Oh and congratulations! X

My tests looked like that they never got any darker and im now 38 weeks pregnant after years of infertility Smile 2 lines is 2 lines i don't believe the darkness matters its not something i came across on the boards when i was ttc

Thank you all for responses... I love the success stories so much haha and the best bit about ttc Is that even though we have guidelines, it really could go any way ! I read that hcg doubles every 2 OR 3 days so I'm going to test tomorrow ..if af doesn't show :( ... x

I did a test when i was about 15 weeks purely because i had one left so wanted to see the positive again and it still looked the same as my ones i did a few weeks prior to that and i was still very much pregnant. A test can only predict pregnancy not what's going on inside so take it that your pregnant and contact your GP for booking in with the midwife Flowers

@LucaFritz thanks so much for sharing that is reassuring 😘 my big fear is that it is a chemical. This is my second cycle ttc #1 and it was the first time I ever saw a positive, I thought I never would I was so so happy. Now I feel totally shattered and just wondering why this has happened :(

I never got a dark line on any of the tests I took when pregnant, and my 18 month old is currently napping in his cot. Not sure the line strength means anything 🤷🏼‍♀️ Fingers crossed for you!

@carringtonm thank you for response... and congrats on your little one :)

I hope the same is true for me.. I can't believe how hard this has hit me. I feel totally shattered
