How soon after C-sec can you have another baby!!!!! help.

I am feeling really stressed. I have just had DD 5 months ago by c-sec and have since had the implanon inserted into my arm as I do not want any more children. I was on anti-biotis at one point for sinusitis and although we were safe I am worried it failed. My constant fatigue and daily naseua and dizzy spells are worring me as well as emense food cravings and urniation at night becomming more frequent....

I am going to buy a test on the way home today and if I am preggies again will this be a problem if I am only 5 months post C-sec for the second time!

Please help as this is really worrying me.

ok, well, a test is the only way to find out... in an ideal world, 12 - 18 months would be better, but it is not the end of the world ...are you sure the implant will fail due to antibiotics?

Its been ages since I have been on - its so nice to see a familiar name... sob.

I am not sure I was under the impression that it did not make any difference but someone here at work says that it does. The night we were active I only realised halfway through so hubby had to pull out (sorry about the graphics) so the chances are so slim... but as just having a baby I know how ripe you can be.

I really hope its not as I really don't want another one and have tried not thinking about it but the dizzyness and fatigue is getting me down so need to know if it is or not now so I can rule it out. I just had a bit of a pnic while sitting here thinking about it and remembered mumsnet and decided to ask while sitting here waiting for 5:30.

Do you have any info on the implanon?

i cannot believe it is 5 months since you had DD...flown by, well, for me anyway !

don;t really know much about implanon

in an ideal world, you should allow your body 12 months at least to recover from carrying a baby, and the birth...it is quite hard work !but many many women go on to have babies with smaller gaps, and are perfectly fine...

would appear that implanon is virtually 100 % effective, and not affected by ABs, so it is more than likely you are :

poorly

anaemic - can certainly make you dizzy

dizzy from sinusitis

and possibly, but most unlikely to be pregnant...

Sorry I did not get back to you yesterday...

It's a negative - shooweee.

I got so busy when I got home as hubby was doing his NVQ and so I had to deal with the kids on my own... paige was screaming for her feed, Josh running around wanting attention and Dinner needing to be put on.

By the time I sat down it was 8:30! Thanks for the info. Will have a look at the site in a bit later... Off to a meeting now
