Well since we are at the tail end!!

@Beau2020x @quiffy @Symptomspotter86 @BFP2020 @ange211

@Mumofboys17 no I think its from the pain, they aren't normally this bad and it's just making me nauseous 🤢 maybe it's from flying through different time zones ✈️🤷‍♀️

I know right it's so weird I'll even try to help it along but nothing works haha just can't finish! Xx

Yep that’s clearly positive!

Quiffy · 05/02/2020 17:17

@Ellsbells112 Not out until AF shows! Got everything crossed for you

Mumofboys17 · 05/02/2020 17:20

@Quiffy I found those first 12 weeks really hard! It's like ok, you've passed the BFP stage, and then it's just a waiting game til that first scan!
I know it may not be to everyone's taste but I'd definitely recommend a private scan if you can get one. They really take their time and especially if you're feeling anxious it just puts your mind at ease! Xxx

Quiffy · 05/02/2020 17:32

@mumofboys17 Definitely booking a private scan I think. The town next to mine does them for £50 from 7 weeks - feels more than worth the money! Just need DH to sort out his work diary and choose a date haha.

Ellsbells112 · 05/02/2020 18:01

@quiffy Aww bless you 😘 thanks haha we will see x

evening guys
@Quiffy yes i defo reccomend a private scan i had one at 8 week put my mind to rest
so i recently told my best friend that i was struggling with ttc physical and mentally and now it none stop she keep on at me to go and get reflexology has anyone tried it or any alternative therapy ?

Ange211 · 05/02/2020 19:59

I'll try & keep this brief but would just love your opinions:
DH & I have 2dc together. Pervious diagnosis of secondary infertility due to blocked fallopian tubes. Since diagnosis I've had 3 pregnancies of which one resulted in ds2. Been TTC since Feb 2018 with no success other than 2 MC's. GP did bloods which show I am ovulating & I have an ultrasound booked to rule out endometriosis. Is it worth going back to fertility clinic to ask for a laparoscopy (would be eligible for iui if my tubes are repaired but not if they are still blocked) what would you all do????

Ange211 · 05/02/2020 20:03

@quiffy £50 is a bargain for reassurance!
@mrslane2019 I'm considering acupuncture but I think the main benefits of alternative therapy are to help relieve stress (which in itself is a good thing to help TTC)

Danni2019 · 05/02/2020 20:10

Jumping on the evening primrose bandwagon. Happy to try anything. How many tablets do you need to take? X

Danni2019 · 05/02/2020 20:17

@Mrslane2019 also been considering acupuncture and did email them but kept changing my mind of whether to do it or not. A bit apprehensive about what is involved and costing of these things.

@Ange211 think if you have a chance for some help I would take it if it was me. Would rather know that something is wrong and how I can solve the problem x

Fredthespider · 05/02/2020 20:27

@Ange211 unless anything has changed in the last few years an ultrasound can't rule out endometriosis, the only way they can do that is to have a laparoscopy so do keep pushing if they try to fob you off. I've heard that if you do have some investigations where they flush your tubes out then there can be a little peak in your chances of conceiving just afterwards so it might be worth it?

I've had acupuncture in the past to try and help regulate my cycles and I didn't find much difference, but we weren't TTC.

Mumofboys17 · 05/02/2020 20:38

@Ange211 I'd definitely look into it as @Fredthespider says an ultrasound can't completely rule it out, I've no real knowledge of that sort of thing though 😕 xx

Mumofboys17 · 05/02/2020 20:41

Ladies help 😫
Got a new CB OPK kit after the other one seemed to stop working, started it tonight (I know you're meant to use FMU but panicking we're getting close to O day and don't want to miss it!) anyway I did the new kit and I got a blank smiley. Figured I'd try the old one again with the same wee, got a flashing smiley 😐 what the actual f*ck 😫
Do I go back to the old test or disregard it? No way I should be back on a blank smiley?! I really don't think I've peaked yet, I've been using the green strips too and they've stayed about the same since yesterday if only darkened slightly x

(Test sticks in 2nd photo - Old CB test is the top, new one is the middle and IC at the bottom)

Fredthespider · 05/02/2020 20:47

@Mumofboys17 the new one will be blank as it calibrates itself to your baseline (it's why they say to start testing before fertile week) but it's great that your old one seems to be working again! The lines look close to peaking, I think you'll get it tomorrow so get busy tonight!! x

Mumofboys17 · 05/02/2020 20:51

@Fredthespider I figured as much but panic bought as I always do!!! 🤦🏼‍♀️ thank you xx
We DTD last night, do you reckon tonight's needed then? OH won't be home til about half 10-11pm ish tonight.... best get a coffee in me then 😬😂😂
We've been holding off on the 'every day' until I was sure of a peak but it's so hard to know when that is! X

Fredthespider · 05/02/2020 21:14

@Mumofboys17 if you went last night you’re probably safe to skip tonight and sleep! It’s definitely best to go before ovulation though x

Katie1109 · 06/02/2020 07:01

Morning ladies x how are we all?
CD 4 today and my af is gone...well it was gone yesterday already, lasted about 48 hours 😩. I’m still feeling a bit down but I’m sure it will pass when FW approaches x FW opens for me next Thursday with O day 17/18th of Feb x

Ange211 · 06/02/2020 07:39

@katie1109 I also have very short AF 2-3 days max. Do you think it's significant? I mentioned it last time I was at gyno and they seemed surprised but not concerned.
The week after AF is the worst. Treat yourself to a lovely meal out: brie, rare steak, red wine & try to cheer yourself up.
I'm cd 20 no Pg symptoms & fairly sure I'm out as didn't DTD enough in fw :(
I've already booked us a spa weekend away for end of Feb. It's the tail end of my fw unfortunately but I'll be nice to get away anyway & something to look forward to.

Katie1109 · 06/02/2020 08:01

@Ange211 I don't know whether its significant but my gyno was not concerned either x I guess it's just one of those things and I know my Mum used to be the same and she has 3 children, so...can't be relevant can it?!
It's Valentines Day next Friday when I'm in FW, so will try to make the best of it x what are you plans for Valentines ladies? I'm really struggling what to buy my OH - I was really hoping I'll be giving him the baby news then, but that did not work out :(

Ellsbells112 · 06/02/2020 08:33

Hey girls
Well I know I'm out because my temperature is doing the exact same thing it did last month. Was going to do a pregnancy test this morning but after seeing my temperature I just snorted at it. Af will come bang on time, not surprised but can't be assed to care that much lol hope I stay feeling like that until after my period! Being disappointed is tiring! Today I'm absolutely knackered, was up till dumb o'clock with my OH talking about some things, glad we did but tiredddd. Definitely going out for a brunch to treat myself!!

Hope everyone is okay :)

Mumofboys17 · 06/02/2020 09:07

@Katie1109 Feel you babe. Anniversary, Xmas and now Valentines day... I've decided to stop aiming for 'special' days now as I bloody miss them all anyway 😬😂

@Ellsbells112 I know what you mean. I cba with the disappointment either it's literally exhausting. I'm off work today as I'm still feeling shite, pushed myself all week and I've just had enough 😫 DH at work, DS at nursery, so I'll have a snotty day at home on my ones in my dressing gown. Yes please!
Resting up ready for DTD later, flashing smiley again this morning but I think we're getting close to the every day bit again 😂 had a load of watery, creamy discharge this morning 😬 laaaaaaavely xx

Ellsbells112 · 06/02/2020 09:16

@Mumofboys17 😂😂😂😂 laaaaavely. A day in your dressing gown sounds like the best plan ever! Relax and get ready for your close up!! For near on 4-5days 🙄😂
I hope we get some luck soon, my OH said last night that he thinks maybe it's his sperm bless him, I just said it could be either we won't know till tests are done!
Yup the disappointment is reallllll I honestly can't be bothered. I was getting weird cramps yesterday and I'm just glad that I'm. Telling myself it's nothing it's pms symptoms instead of getting my hopes up every month, it's long and only hurts you! I think I might do a pregnancy test just to make it real lol 11dpo today

Ladiessss advice please
Following yesterday’s positive I did another test in the evening and it gave the same result.... this morning I did another (with fmu, I slept around 1:30 and woke and tested at 6:30) and it was really faint.... I’m not sure if that’s because my evening urine is picking up the HCG better or is it something else? Shall I test on a FRER (af is due on Saturday according to my calculations)...?

X

Mumofboys17 · 06/02/2020 09:55

@Ellsbells112 bless you, and him! Are you using pre seed or anything like that at all? Supposed to help with sperm mobility (apparently) but certainly helps with the fanny burn anyway 😂😂

@Cookiemonster19 FRER's are more reliable in my experience. Or do a CB digital maybe?

Cookiemonster19 · 06/02/2020 10:00

@mumofboys17 I’ve never used an FRER, I might order one today.... is it even possible to get two false positives?
