Short cycle TTC

My OH and I are starting to TTC. Problem is I’ve already got my knickers in a bit of a twist about short cycles. My periods are regular but range from 23-26 day cycles. Anyone else in the same boat?

Yep, my most recent cycle since coming off the pill in September was 25 days. I’ve been on the pill for 9 years, prior to that they were 21 day cycles. It does worry me that they are too short to give implantation a chance.

Yurp..... I’m the same. 24-25 days.
From my reading the cycle length is kind of irrelevant, it’s the duration of the Letual phase that’s more significant and this is based on when when you ovulate.

It’s so easy to get hung onto everything hoping for the perfect cycle.

My luteal phase last month was 11 days. Which could be slightly too short...
Yet another thing to worry about whilst TTC 🙈

Same! I’m currently 11DPO and my AF is due tomorrow (Possibly today).

Are you tracking your ovulation?

Yea, I got a positive OPK on day 12 this month (slightly earlier than previous months). So I’m approx 9/10 DPO. Unsure when AF is due as it’s been different every month so far. Should be approx 15th-18th.

Thank you for the replies both. Do you mind telling me what the abbreviations mean please (DPO guessing days post ovulation but not sure of the others). Yeah I hear you Bubble29, I guess you could have a short cycle but still a ‘normal’ luteal phase. How are you tracking ovulation? Sticks?

Yeah, I used the CB advance sticks.
I had high fertility days 7-13 of my cycle and then peak 14-15.

Sorry, yes. DPO has posh ovulation. I’ve only been on this site for a week and the abbreviations went over my head. This might be useful

Yea DPO is days post ovulation. OPK is an ovulation prediction kit. AF is Aunt Flo I.e period. I’ve learnt a lot of new lingo since joining the forum 😂
