Accupuncturist predicting pregnancy from pulse

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has ever had experience of their fertility accupuncturist predicting their pregnancy?

I've been seeing a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner for a couple of months and when she took my pulse on Tuesday (at 9 DPO) she instantly said it was different and that she thinks I'm pregnant. I had already been thinking it but I tested this morning at 11 DPO and got a BFN so now I'm doubting myself and her.

Would love to know if anyone's ever been in the same position and how it turned out?

A friend of mine had this, her acupuncturist didn't tell her at the time but when she went back a few weeks later for another session and told her she was pregnant, the acupuncturist showed her her notes from where she'd written it from her last session and said she'd known last time but didn't want to say anything just incase!

Oh thank you! I have heard a few people say it happened to them and we've been trying for nearly a year now so I'm just hoping she's right!

The first sign I had of being pregnant was an increased heart rate from about a week post ovulation I think. My resting heart rate is usually around 51-55 and it shot up to 67/68. I just had a feeling and I was right! I did get BFN until the day before my period was due though. Hope this helps!

Yes, my acupuncturist told me on 3dpt5dt (8dpo) on my last ivf cycle. I got a BFP 2 days later. amazing!

12 DPO and BFN this morning. I wish the acupuncturist hadn't said anything! :(

Implantation can happen from 6dpo to 12dpo so wait a few more days to test. Fingers crossed for you

Just an an update. AF arrived this morning, right on cue 15 DPO.

So it would seem that an acupuncturist definitely can be wrong about whether you are pregnant!

So sorry to hear this ☹️ definitely worth mentioning to her that you don't want to know if she hears anything again. I must admit I would of thought in their training they'd be advised against telling you as it gets your hopes up! Have heard so many amazing strories though so keep trying with it! Good luck xx
