Hi, we started using Clearblue digital connected this month and I got my first flashing face on 26th Dec (CD7) - after which my monitor broke and I didn’t get the replacement through until 3rd Jan (CD15) and I got another flashing face on CD16 and it’s stayed that way - it’s now CD21 and my cycle is normally 27/28 days long. I’ve been testing once a day with fmu.

We BD’d CD6 CD7 CD8 CD9 CD10 CD11 CD15 CD16 CD20 & CD21 (we started out with enthusiasm this month but the longer its flashing the more our enthusiasm is dwindling).

I had a loss early last year and we’ve been actively TTC again since April (after my 1st Cycle).

My cycles are very regular but last month I didn’t get any smiling faces on my OPKs (I used the cheapest Clearblue then) and it was a 31 day cycle previous to that it was a 23 day cycle with my peak on CD12 - I did check my FSH levels that cycle and it was negative.

I’m almost 40 and plus size (although joining SlimmingWorld next week once I’ve got our freezer emptied of all the high calorie dishes!!)

Has anyone else been in a similar position to me and got a BFP?

Do a pregnancy test I wonder if you are pregnant

PottersonDayz · 09/01/2020 08:21

I tried that too with One Step but BFN. I'm not having any symptoms to indicate I am or that AF is on her way.

It's the most annoying thing but time will tell you
You're not due on period yet for another 2 weeks I think about?

It sounds like the machine needs to be reset can you look up how to reset it?

I'm due on the 15th Jan - normally I have little signs that AF is on her way by now. I think I'm going to order the Femometer for using on my next cycle along with the OPKs.

I'm also going to test my Clearblue using water just in case it's faulty. That might stop me worrying.

And my tap water gets a flashing face too Hmm

The clear blue only work if you use the exact same monitor through a cycle. When you test at the start of the cycle it sets a 'baseline' you get the circle WHENEVER you use a new monitor for the first time. Then when it detects the hormones rising it does a flashing smiley - the flashing smiley then stay every day (explains why you got one on water) until it reads peak hormones which is when you get solid smiley.

So if you got the replacement monitor the day after your peak (you might have missed it) it will always show flashing smiley until your period/BFP arrives

@lewk that's a great explanation thank you for sharing that- I've never used a monitor but they sound helpful for tracking
