Frer false positives?

Hiya! Was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with very convincing lines from first response tests at all? I tested yesterday morning and got a very faint line, there within the 3 minute mark. I took another last night and it was there and slightly darker, have taken a third this morning and again the same thing just not any darker as I would of expected.
I also had some blood in my cm today making me believe that af is coming and that these are faulty tests!

Have tried to attach pictures but it will not allow me as I am new

Yup, here are mine from last week. These are 2 different FRERs. BFNs ever since

They look exactly how mine do! Always thought first response was one of the best tests but starting to think otherwise lately!

You sure the blood in your cm isn't implantation bleeding.
Try in a couple of days and see if Lomé gets darker. Good luck x

I've never had false positives from FRERs but they did show the progression of chemical pregnancies (very early miscarriages) - basically that the embryo starts to implant but doesn't stick. I got positive tests at around 8-9dpo that then faded to negative by 14dpo. On one of these occasions I had a scan as I happened to have a lot of pain and my GP wanted to check for an ectopic pregnancy and an empty sac was seen (basically the very start of a pregnancy).

I find it's easier to think of them as false positives or chemical pregnancies than it is to think of them as a loss.

It's the problem with very early testing. If we could just all have the patience to wait until our period was due then a pregnancy test would give a more definite answer (easier said than done though!)

I doubt they're wrong. It'll be a very very early loss . These tests are so super sensitive

Yep. I had this on Saturday, came up in 3 minutes. Monday morning, completely blank frer (same pack). Af was due yesterday or today. No sign. Pissed off as I trust these tests the most.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that @ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia I saw your post earlier in the week. No signs for me either. The only time I've been late is when I was pregnant (this was my first month ttc after my second mc).

I have had a lot of indents with first response but never lines like this.
My partner could see the line on last nights test what says a lot as he can never see anything,

I have taken another with smu and although even lighter I can still see something if I shine a light on it. It's so hard not to obsess over!

Still having a little bit of ewcm with streaks of blood.

I've always bought a first response And clear blue.

If both have the same results then I went with that.

When's af due @Spri3? The spotting might be implantation.

I've never had any issues with first response tests but been seeing on here a lot recently that people are.

The spotting sounds like implantation bleeding.

False positives are unlikely, more likely the pregnancy hasn’t stuck.

I've had another month of super faint second lines on frer- but after last time I know they arnt false positives as there really isn't proper colour to them. It's just a line from the paper that you can see at certain angles. Its annoying, but I tell myself if it's not a clear positive that you dont need to squint at then it's not a positive to stop myself getting my hopes up then dashed.

I have pcos so my cycles can be irregular but the past couple have been on time. My app says that I should have ovulated on the 29th and that af is due on the 12th!
I'm going to pick up a clear blue test later and see what that one says

Yep I’ve had indents on frer last 2 months, was so disheartening! Managed to get my BFP yesterday though and it definitely wasn’t an indent this time 💗

Yup its happened to me yesterday morn and this morn, but this morning's one wasn't as bad as yesterday's. I don't think I'm going to use these anymore

Think there may be a super faint line on clearblue 6 days sooner test! But I have just started very lightly bleeding so I'm pretty sure that's me out for this month!

Here was mine from last month. Also not pregnant
The line appeared after a minute and was pink. Clearblue came up with a faint line also. But then I had the tiniest period a week after following a vaginal scan for other reasons other than pregnancy xx

Yep happened to me too. Last month I had a very faint but pink line. I was convinced I was pregnant but then kept having negative tests after. Likewise I thought these were most reliable tests. Went on amazon to read the reviews only to find out quite a lot of women had the same experience.

Well this morning I was expecting af full force but the bleeding has really slowed to hardly anything! Took another clearblue test today and got the same line as yesterday it just showed up a little quicker

Sorry to hop in on the bandwagon but I’m driving myself crazy here I have very irregular periods and technically should start any day I have not had a positive first response that I can tell on but a week ago hcg was only 0.2 I’m not sure what to think of these other tests that look positive

I’ve never had any form of line before but I swear I can see one today. Am o getting my hopes up for nothing?
