How to conceive a particular gender

To distract me from the hell that is waiting around for a positive OPK, has anyone got any old wives tales for conceiving particular genders? I'm not fussed as long as we eventually have a healthy baby but it would be fun to know if anyone has ideas!

I was told that during times of (conscripted) war, the male birthrate goes up; and that the reason for this is...

Regular/frequent sex = girl
Less regular/frequent = boy

Tosh, I'm sure.

Good luck with your journey

It's sex, not gender. Sex is male or female.

Gender is what you dress them in, what toys are marketed at them, what behaviour us considered acceptable or unacceptable for them. Gender is paying one less than the other for the same work.

I've read that if you conceived on the day of peak ovulation, it's more likely that you will have a baby boy.

More than likely all wives tales, but it may work you never know 😊

I heard that the timing affect it- not sure of when or how but basically female creating sperm are fractionally heavier as they are X chromosomes compared to boy ones which are Y so are lighter (missing a leg)
