Tender boobs

This might sound like a strange question, I'm 13dpo (i think) could be a day either side. I never get any pms symptoms and my periods only last 3 days and are very light. The last 4 days I've lost my sense of taste for anything savoury and my 6 month old kitten just stood on my boobs and I had to shoo her off as they killed. This may be pms and I've just never noticed it but i thought I'd ask anyone whose had a BFP what your books felt like? Were they tender only when touched? Did you have any other type of breast pain?
I've also been falling asleep in the afternoons but not feeling overly tired. I had what I thought were period pains a few days ago but nothing since.

We haven't been on any contraceptions for 18 months but haven't been actively trying. I've had months where I've convinced myself I have symptoms only to get a period so I'm reluctant to take a test until I get more symptoms

I am having the exact same dilemma at the moment! I am currently 5 months TTC. Sore boobs are not uncommon for me as I even had them during my 12 years on the contraceptive pill. However, these last two days I cannot describe it, they just feel different. I am 7dpo and I have really sensitive boobs, mostly around the sides and near the nipple. Also have a deep burning sensation from time to time. I put my uniform on at work this morning and it seems so tight around my breasts. I am also reluctant to test until I get a late period as I have gotten my hopes up before.
I know that a few days post ovulation the progesterone surge can cause breast soreness so perhaps it is that. If so, I guess it should start to ease off over the next couple of days
Maybe we should keep a boob dairy! Let me know how you get on :)

How strange! Mine is around the sides and at the top, not noticed anything in my bipolar yet which makes me think this is just another false alarm! I haven't noticed any difference in size but haven't really been looking x

Hi I wasn't in the same situation but those symptoms were very similar to my pregnancy symptoms when I was pregnant. I had had boob pain from PMS but my husband said just the way I was talking about my boobs was different.

I don't want to get your hopes up too much but everything you said was basically exactly what I had. I wasn't trying so didn't do a test until weeks after my period was due (my periods were very erratic at the time). I got no other pregnancy symptoms so I would say you might not get any more symptoms.

Im 21 week's pregnant sore boobs were my first symptom (I couldn't lie on my stomach to sleep as breast pain was so bad) it's eased off a little but they are still sore.

@Napmum were your breasts just tender to touch or did they hurt all the time? And did you ever get a burning sensation? I just keep telling myself this is just another one of my body's mind games and that my AF will arrive next week in its ordinary disappointing fashion!

Auto correct is great isn't it? I've not noticed anything in my nipples yet, I did a test today but it was lunch time and a bfn. I think I'll just wait it out until Friday as I do occasionally have a long cycle so this maybe all pms related 😒

@heyho87 it is such an awful time. I feel like after just writing this post this morning my boobs dont feel as sore now so just going to blame progesterone. When is your AF due? I'm due on 16th. Last month I was 3 days late (never been late before!) and really got my hopes up just for AF to appear with vengeance! Feel like I cannot read my body at all anymore. @Dollywantsareallifedolly I'm due either today or tomorrow but I've had cycled in the last 18 months that have gone 5 days over so I'm not holding my breath. I still can't taste anything savoury which I find wierd! I've got a pain in my side tonight and one flash of what I can only describe as electric across my back. I suspect it's all pms though. Xx

I dreaded taking my bra off at night. The pain of them going from being supported to not was insane. They also hurt any time I moved quicker than a walk or if I laid on my front.
The pain started before I got my bfp, but stopped about 8 weeks. I was convinced I had a miscarriage. So don't be alarmed if you are pregnant and they suddenly stop hurting in a few weeks, it's normal!

@heyho87 yes this ttc lark makes you crazy doesnt it. When you say you can't taste savory food do you mean aversion or just cannot actually taste it? If so that's a new one but so many crazy things can happen in those first few days/weeks I guess 🤔

@plixy thank you for the boob insight. I'm the same with my bra at night when I have the let them out for the big drop. Feels like I've got boulders in there at the minute!

Still trying to just pass it off as normal as so wary about getting my hopes up!

@Dollywantsareallifedolly any update? AF still not here but I've had slight cramps really low Down a little bit today, still having a taste issue, I can't taste much savoury wise, sweet I can but I'm also a bit off food and not enjoying it so that might be why. Had the odd boob twinge but nothing major 😒 I'm still not testing 😂

I always get sore boobs before af to the point it’s sore when I walk.
With BFP they were pretty much the same, maybe even a little less sore to be honest. I know some people’s boobs get bigger and extremely sore. Didn’t happen at all. One thing that does stick out though was one morning when I woke up they just felt really sore and usually I need to prod to see if they are painful so this was different. Some jaggy type feelings ( not sore) but really same pretty much as normal month. Hope this helps
