Hi everyone. Looking for advice I took my first test monday and it was a clear second line but as the week has gone on the second line seems to be getting fainter and fainter?? Should I be worried? Does the darkness of the line matter? Getting worried now. X

Hi @Happiness2717 what tests have you been using? Would definitely recommend a CB digital to stop any confusion about lines.

@Crazyfor3 I have tried boots own clearblue early and this morning was first response. I have had positives with them all but the line is getting lighter. think I am too early for a digital as af isnt due until wed at the earliest. Any advice would be appreciated. Xx

Fingers crossed for you, its such a roller-coaster! How many DPO are you? I think it's best to try the digital on the day of your missed period to know for sure. I'm sorry to say that I had a chemical pregnancy a few years ago, had a few positive lines over a weekend which got fainter and then sadly AF started by the Monday, but I hope this is not the case for you. It might have something to do with the concentration of your urine making the test just appear lighter but still positive?? I'm not sure if that's a thing but I hope so! Xxx

I'm afraid this is the worst of these early tests. The good news is you're fertile if you have chemical pregnancies. You're ovulating and sperm is getting to where it needs to be! I had three chemical pregnancies, one each month we tried to conceive and then the fourth month I got a bfp that progressed and she's sitting on the sofa avoiding bedtime as we speak Smile

@Happiness2717 really sorry to hear that, it's crushing when that happens. The early detection pregnancy tests are great when the pregnancy lasts but upsetting when it detects earlier than nature intended. The month after my previous chemical pregnancy I got my BFP and all was well. I hope this happens for you.... and if possible, maybe avoid early testing next time (easier said than done though, I know!) good luck x
