I have 3 dc. 1st took 11 months of targeted unprotected sex to conceive, 2nd preg (ended in m/c) 2nd dc and 3dc easily conceived, although planned.

Following 3rd dc we had been ambivalent about 4th, a couple of months ago felt more strongly about going for 4th. Dh feels same, so we did nothing about contraception except withdrawal (although sorry about tmi, stopped before ejaculation).

Have done this a few times before, and hasn’t resulted in pg. did it last sun or mon (can’t remember which), and then fri pm (cycle day 28) had spotting and a little yesterday, which has now stopped. My cycles are usually 35 plus days, although at times can be shorter. Therefore was a bit early for af? Now I’m panicking that that was an implantation bleed, (didn’t have one with any other pg) and that I am pg. now that it might have actually happened, feeling v worried about it all.

I now know I should have been more careful, and there’s not much I can do as prob still too early to test...

Any wise words of wisdom apart from sort out contraception!!!

Thanks

Give it a week and if no af, take a test. Until then, try not to panic and maybe talk to dh about whether you truly do want number 4.

If you are pg, I'm sure you'll be really excited once the shock has worn off :)
