Hi Ladies,

I have been TTC now since November 2018 and still not even a sniff of a BFP. Having read lots of positive stories about the use of soy isoflavones (some from women who had been TTC far longer than I have) I decided to given them a go. I took 80 80 120 120 120 CD’s 5-9.

I started using OPK’s (clearblue digital dual hormone) on CD 9 got my first flashing smiley face on CD 11 but static smiley (peak). I have been having cramps since Friday, lower back ache yesterday and today I have started spotting (pink and red sorry TMI) but I’m only CD 21. I usually have an 11 day luteal phase so does this mean I ovulated around CD9/10 or maybe not at all? Is it possible to have ovulated while I was still the iso flavones or the day after? I don’t temp because I’m often up several times in the night so I wouldn’t be able to track them properly.

I was so excited that the iso flavones this month and now I have no idea what happened and absolutely no idea where to go from here.

After 13 cycles of TTC #1 I thought I'd give Iso a try. I took 100, 150, 150, 150, 200 cd 2-6. My cycles are pretty regular at 23-28 days but I rarely get a strong 2nd line on opks, so I was hoping iso would bring on ovulation with a vengeance lol but as you can see from my pic it wasn't strong again this cycle. But my BBT has confirmed I've ovulated cd 13 which makes me 8dpo, so we'll see. I have an appointment with my fertility dr on wed for the results of my AMH and if everything's normal I'm gunna try Iso again next cycle if I don't get told anything else 🤷🏻‍♀️

good luck @sabtom, fingers crossed for you.

I'm just so confused as to how I could have ovulated while having not finished taking the iso. This will also be my shortest cycle ever.

If you got your static on cd11 that would mean today is 9/10dpo? Maybe the spotting is implantation?

sorry @sabtom my post should have said I got my first flashing smiley on CD11 I didn't get a static at all and I stopped testing on CD15 as I wouldn't have been able to try anymore anyway. Either I must have ovulated on CD 9/10 or maybe not at all.

Hmm then I'm just as confused as you @Waiting2BAMummy, sorry I can't be of more help Blush Hopefully it does turn out to be good news for you Thanks

I used them in the past and they heavily delayed my ovulation. I kept surging but not actually ovulating until cd22+. I took them for 5 months and they didn't really do anything apart from mess me up! Just take care using them as they are not recommended for you if you ovulate regularly.

Waiting2BAMummy · 06/01/2020 07:55

I had the opposite problem @Chanel05. AF arrives yesterday(CD21), I have an 11 day luteal phase, so I must have ovulated on CD9. I only started testing with OPK’s on CD9 so never got a static smiley and hadn’t even finished my course of iso yet as I was taking them 5-9. The other strange thing is that I did get flashing smileys starting on CD11 which if I ovulated on CD9 means I’m having an estrogen rise after ovulation 🤔

I’m going to give them one last shot this month and take them days 3-7 as this seems to be when most people who got their BFP seemed to take them. Will start testing with OPK’s CD5 I think.
