Hey ladies,

Posted on a few threads but think it's about the time I might know what I'm sorta on about! Ha!

Looking for some TTC Buddies I can what's app :-)

A bit about me, I'm 28.. 29 in April.. my husband is a year younger than me. We've been married just over a year and together for 9 years this July.

I came off the pill Cerelle 24th November after years of the pill then implant and then the pill again. Never had periods on any. Just a few withdrawals when I missed a few pills.

Anyway! Been actively TTC since my withdrawal bleed 25-29th November.

Finally after a December of no Flo she's arrived today. So finally I can accurately start trying to track on Ovia! GrinGrin

What's your story?

So sorry @paintfairy be kind to yourself today.

I'm sending lots of (big fat) positive vibes to the bus.

I came across an article today about how having a second affects the family dynamics etc , which I'm well aware of but I do have wobbles occasionally about how chaotic it may be with two and how my boy will cope.

paintfairy · 02/02/2020 10:43

@MrsTwentySeven @professorastrocat

Thanks. It's really disheartening. Even though you expect it. 😔

The stats say someone on this bus should get a BFP though?

Wise0wl · 02/02/2020 10:43

@paintfairy sorry to hear AF arrived and fingers crossed for the end of the month!

Bumblebee413 · 02/02/2020 11:24

I'm sorry @paintfairy. That's really hard. That glimmer of hope is such a precious little thing that we can't quite bear to let go of. When you want something so very badly. I guess it's one of the amazing things about a human heart- we just love and hope so damn hard! The flipside being that it hurts so much.

I know this sounds strange, but I think I 'ran' my 'pregnancy symptoms' away yesterday. I jogged a 15 mile race that we signed up to months ago. I hadn't really done any training and it took me 3 hours. The first two were fine, but the last was brutal. I completely ran out of energy and it was probably the hardest 5 miles I've ever run. Everything hurt and I felt like I was about to pass out at the finish. My dh got told to put me in the ambulance Blush Luckily he didn't, I just needed sugar!

Anyway, I know it doesn't make sense, but I can't see how a tiny little embryo trying to attach (if there ever even was one) could have survived that and I feel a little sad and a little guilty. I didn't want to not run just in case. Either way, I feel completely normal now and that feeling of 'maybe' has gone- just tender boobs, right on schedule for af.

February Double Decker anyone? They're delicious to eat and there's double the room for our crazies and hopefully some bfps!! It's strange as I've written myself off, but I need some of us to get some, we needs some hope and joy, team Grin x

paintfairy · 02/02/2020 11:35

I think you'd be surprised what embryos attach to! @Bumblebee413 There are drug addicts and all sorts manage it. Whole process seems somewhat unfair though.

Well done! I can't run 5 metres! Lol. I think it makes sense to carry on as normal and not put your life on hold. Could take ages? Plus then you've less focus on it. It's what we all should do really, but it's hard. The more we can though, I think mentally the better it is for us. Definitely. I'm going to try next month to switch off to it. I'll opk to make sure I'm on track but that is it. No temping, no symptom spotting. Nothing.

MrsTwentySeven · 02/02/2020 11:51

@Bumblebee413 it wouldn’t affect it all, don’t worry. In the early days, they’re cells multiplying. If you think of it as any other cells in the body (crass way of thinking but sometimes we have to ) ....for example our hair cells won’t stop multiplying if we rigorously exercised due to the microscopic scale we are talking! :) Honestly, don’t worry.

MrsTwentySeven · 02/02/2020 11:52

Why are my nipples itchy...googling tells me “Montgomery tubercles” 😂 orrr it’s nothing and I’m just hoping beyond hope

Hatepickinganame · 02/02/2020 12:29

@paintfairy sorry to hear about af, hope youre ok 😊

@Bumblebee413 wowza im amazed you managed to run that far, 5k is about all i can manage and it nearly kills me lol go you!

@MrsTwentySeven i do love your symptom spot updates haha cd23 for me and no odd things are happening, my cramps have calmed down again but that means nothing really.... right?? Other than that there is nothing odd going on. Everything tastes normal again, my boobs are fine, im no more tired than usual... heres to cycle 3 and some bfps for all of us!

MrsTwentySeven · 02/02/2020 12:48

@hatepickinganame aren’t you about 13dpo now ? Did you OV CD10? I’m CD28 ...10DPO ish...bored with nothing to do, hence symptom spotting maniac over here 😂

Hatepickinganame · 02/02/2020 12:56

@MrsTwentySeven yup thats what i think happened 😂 i dont temp or anything, i just went by noticing ewcm and some sharp stabby pains in my left ovary area on CD10... flo think its cd12 and ovia (before i deleted it) said cd14 😂 i also had 2 days of af style cramps on CD14, so im still a little confused but everything i read says ov pain is short and sharp and not a prolonged pain... next cycle i think ill just count from CD14 to reduce test temptation. I mean it might work right?! Who knew this was all so complicated???

MrsTwentySeven · 02/02/2020 13:00

@hatepickinganame consider CB digitals next time ? (If you need it...this may be the one!) I only know when I OV because of the CBs haha

Needallthesleep · 02/02/2020 13:17

@Bumblebee413 my DD managed to attach despite me competing at Crossfit, I don’t think running impacts it (if anything it’s a good thing).

There absolutely have to be some BFPs on this thread. We can’t all be out this month! Can’t wait to see them

paintfairy · 02/02/2020 13:23

I used the one step cheap opks last month. But I spot on ovulation anyway. I was using them to just double check. I've got some CB ones though, so I might try them this month. I'm also going to order some preseed.

I did just read that CM gets less with age. I am 37. Obviously I've decided I'm now infertile. 🙄 But I figure the preseed can't hurt. I didn't notice any EWCM last month but I also read its hard to identify if mixed with semen anyway, if DTD a lot at that time.

I'm ok bar a banging headache and feeling sick. Having an easy day. Hopefully I'll feel more positive in a few days when I can at least look forward to trying again. But I do wonder how I'll feel after another 6 months of this. I guess I worry my age means I've missed the boat! But I know we all panic about it not happening. Seems to be the norm.

Good luck with keeping yourself busy! It's not easy, is it? But not much longer now for some of you. Fingers crossed!

MimiArm · 02/02/2020 13:43

@paintfairy Sorry to hear AF showed up. I share the exact same worries as you, and know how the age thing makes you fret even more. I too also convinced myself I'm infertile! But then reasoned with myself that just because we are 37/38, so what! We still have periods, we still ovulate so why the hell would it make much difference 😊

Keep on DTD and it will happen sooner or later plus at least we haven't long to wait until we can symptom spotting again 🤭💪

paintfairy · 02/02/2020 13:46

@MimiArm Thanks. Helps to know others are similar. 😊

Lol! Ffs. I had so many strange symptoms this month. I can't have imagined them. Ridiculous body! DH just doesn't understand either, so that doesn't help.

Bumblebee413 · 02/02/2020 13:55

@paintfairy you're absolutely right, we do all panic and then so many babies are conceived late 30s and even late 40s. Your boat will come and it will be all the more special for the wait.

I just want to formally hold my hands up and announce that I have lost the plot. Or at least stopped pretending I ever had it Grin. I was feeling down earlier after my post, so decided to do a test at 11dpo and got a bfn. I then remembered that I'd seen a website that calculated how likely you were to get a false positive if you tested early, but couldn't find that, so decided the best option was to watch lots of YouTube videos of people comparing tests that they'd taken from 8dpo to 14dpo. I basically wanted to find any evidence I still had a chance. THEN I thought a really good idea was to fish the test out of the bin just to be sure. And I was. Until I started imaging lines. Ffs. This magical line can only be seen if you angle the test away from you. It's a cheapie Amazon one and the line isn't even red, it's just darker than the white. So probably just the chemicals that are there for the line to appear on.

So, I just wanted to announce in a safe space that I am a lunatic, who bin dives, and wanted to thank you for all your kind words and support today. I will be doing my best not to test for another 4/5 days, until I'm actually due. But I've said that before. For now I need to calm down.

We decided on Friday that with the move coming up and everything that needs doing to the new house, we would be better waiting a few months before we try and putting things on hold, so that I'm not exhausted and sick with everything else going on. We've also been moving since June so we're exhausted. It's the sensible decision and I know it's the right one. But there's a massive emotional side of me hoping we might just have got a home run somehow, as I know otherwise it might be a long wait. I'm sorry- chronic oversharer and unable to write little posts!

paintfairy · 02/02/2020 14:01

@Bumblebee413 😂😂😂 Your post made me laugh.

You definitely have to do what's right for you.

Hatepickinganame · 02/02/2020 14:18

Will catch up on all the posts when ive finished work but just had to say out of nowhere i feel sick as anything and ive gone super hot! Obv this means im pregnant and not coming down with something... (someone back me up here 😂🤢)

professorastrocat · 02/02/2020 14:32

A good sign @Hatepickinganame

@Bumblebee413 your posts resonate a lot with me and I appreciate your honesty!. I also was a bin diver last month and wasn't aware of the fact that tests can look positive after a while and momentarily freaked out then remembered I'd read that they mustn't be read after a certain period of time so I googled why....

It's really hard to not obsess. I'm doing better this month but still prone to googling a bit, particularly about why my boob feels stabby which google handily told me has nothing to do with pregnancy 😒

@paintfairy I'm also 37 and my dp is early 40s so I'm with you totally on the mild panic. We still have time 😊

littletandme · 02/02/2020 14:41

@Bumblebee413 just want you to know you're not the only one! I put the test I took this morning in my bedside drawer and have since taken it apart and shone my phone torch on it and anything else I could think of to try and see something other than snowy white!! I've usually got pretty good line eyes but then I also start imagining things 🙈

paintfairy · 02/02/2020 15:49

@professorastrocat My DH is a fair bit older than me too. I guess what is meant to be will be! Its just hard not knowing.

@Hatepickinganame I had that. 😂 Felt on and off like it all last week. Thursday was horrendous. It's mind wrecking. Fingers crossed for you.

Supper16 · 02/02/2020 16:12

I also LOVED The Witcher (but have also played the game and read a few books).

I am due AF on Tuesday. I have an aggravating stitch way down low in my pelvis and a lot of cervical fluid today, a bit like EWCM although I didn't inspect too much. I think that could be a normal result of progesterone changing before my period though....

Am really trying not to get my hopes up......

Supper16 · 02/02/2020 16:15

Oh yes, have just read that creamy discharge is especially common before a period Sad

Bumblebee413 · 02/02/2020 16:21

Maybe if I just pee enough pee, something will change....

Fingers crossed for you @Hatepickinganame and @Supper16 ! X

Hatepickinganame · 02/02/2020 16:59

@bumblebee413 ive just read your post, we have all been there. When i tested last week i was shining the torch on my phone through the window to see if i could see a line that was just too faint to see without it... baby making makes you crazy!

@paintfairy ill firmly stash my hopes back in a box and add it to the pms symptom pile then 😂 nausea is normal with af for me, the sudden hot/dizzy spell is new.

@Supper16 are the books good? Ive never played the games lol the oh has just started to get me into gaming a little though.

How's everyone else doing x
