Hey ladies,

Posted on a few threads but think it's about the time I might know what I'm sorta on about! Ha!

Looking for some TTC Buddies I can what's app :-)

A bit about me, I'm 28.. 29 in April.. my husband is a year younger than me. We've been married just over a year and together for 9 years this July.

I came off the pill Cerelle 24th November after years of the pill then implant and then the pill again. Never had periods on any. Just a few withdrawals when I missed a few pills.

Anyway! Been actively TTC since my withdrawal bleed 25-29th November.

Finally after a December of no Flo she's arrived today. So finally I can accurately start trying to track on Ovia! GrinGrin

What's your story?

@paintfairy im fairly sure i was cd10 for ov so dont think it would work for me haha think its why my app gives me such a long fertile time, cause im not 100% sure on when i ovulate or when my lp starts. Maybe dtd every other day from the start of my window will work 😂 i had two apps at one point, flo estimates cd12 and ovia had me at cd14 for ovulation. I use cm to figure it out though which is why i thought cd10 (cause of ewcm) although not too sure its reliable since i get it alot. Had loads on cd15 too 🙄

Bumblebee413 · 31/01/2020 15:46

@notetaker I know what you mean about the personalities, I've thought that with a few people!

Definitely in the right place! With my 'trying to be chilled out' plan, I'm aiming to avoid opks until we're a few months in (we'll see how long that lasts...) and to not test unless I'm definitely in af territory. Although the tests are in the bathroom, so as with my other grand plan... I'm just using the tracking on my fitbit, although I think due to my cycle unpredictability it's an uphill struggle for it, poor thing. Grin

Having said that and read the last few posts, there does seem to be so much more to it. Luckily we might be about to move house, if the sale goes through, so I'm hoping that will distract me both if it's a bfn and in general. To be completely ho est, staying on the bus with you all definitely doesn't sound like the worst thing at all.

@Hatepickinganame thankyou - feel abit bummed. I didn't know I wanted to conceive so much until I actually started trying!!!

@bumblebee413 welcome!!! I was the same I lurked for a week and then plucked up the courage to post. All the ladies on here are very supportive Smile esp if you're not telling anyone you're trying to conceive, it gets abit much to keep it all in (for me anyway!!)

@Needallthesleep what is the SMEP thread? Would you mind sending a link x

professorastrocat · 31/01/2020 17:07

I had planned to do smep as I thought couldn't do any harm but we were too tired and busy for it! Only actually dtd 3 times round the right time this month which isn't bad and it only takes one of course but you know when you know already that it's not your month....it's weird I just have a hunch. I'm 3dpo today so a while to go.

I just soooooo want to get pregnant and yes you just don't know how much you do until you start trying!!

professorastrocat · 31/01/2020 17:10

@Jellybean252 sorry you're feeling a bit rubbish. How long are your cycles, 11dpo could still be a bit early? Those early tests only work for some people. I am determined i am not testing early....🤔 we'll see.

paintfairy · 31/01/2020 17:11

@Hatepickinganame I did OPK, temp and spotted. All pointed to day 11. So i was sure this month.

@Jellybean252 Same! I keep telling myself I'm not bothered! Who are we kidding? Never felt so gutted in my life.

@Bumblebee413 if you can keep chilled its best! Helpful to know when ovulation is though, so you can make sure you time DTD right. Or just do it loads anyway!

No idea what's going on with me. Think I'm coming down with something. Feel awful today. So maybe that's why I've been all over this week?

Hatepickinganame · 31/01/2020 17:45

@paintfairy well i had ewcm and short sharp side pains on cd10 (mon) which led me to believe it was ov, then on the fri i had more ewcm and cramps that lasted two days. Everything ive read said ov pain isnt prolonged though so i dont know what to think. Unless its different for me with pcos, ive never even thought about when i ovulate until we decided to ttc so ive got no idea 😂 i went with the monday though and af is due in 6 days so i guess if its late i was wrong 🤣🤣🤣🤣 sorry youre not feeling great, hope you feel better soon x

2020wisher · 31/01/2020 17:47

Evening girls, just loving all the kind and supportive words 🥰 what a wise bunch!

I’m having a weird change of heart- I think (after obsessive analysis) that I ov’d later than I though...so when testing I was way way too early. I could be clutching at straws 😅 but I might have been too early to rule myself out. Anyway, it’s day 26 of my cycle so I won’t have long to go now.

Steak and wine for my tea tonight 🥳 why the hell not eh 😁 what’s everyone up to?

paintfairy · 31/01/2020 17:48

@Hatepickinganame sometimes after ovulation mine lingers a day or 2. I think at this rate I'm going to become a permanent cramp! 😂

Nora11 · 31/01/2020 17:58

Hi everyone! I'm on day 7 of my cycle, this will be our first month trying and I am sooo impatient to get into the fertile window!! 😬😬😬

Fingers crossed for you @2020wisher and enjoy your steak! Homemade meatballs followed by a chocolate pud for us 🥰

Lola871 · 31/01/2020 19:05

@Nora11 this is my first cycle too and waiting for the fertile window took forever!!

Hatepickinganame · 31/01/2020 19:28

So i may have had a little hour long nap on the sofa (exhaustion anyone?!) And woke up in a panic as i dreamt i was cooking loads of whole chickens (why??) And the cats kept climbing in the cooker and i nearly killed one. Best part is i dont even own a cat. Super weird. Thought you guys might get a giggle from it 😂

Jellybean252 · 31/01/2020 19:57

@professorastrocat thankyou :( according to Clue my average cycle is 28 days- I suppose you're not out the game until AF shows up. But sadly I have been getting cramps today meaning she may she be on her way

@paintfairy definitely gutted. I do sometimes consider just deleting the apps and "just seeing how it goes" but I just can't seem to do bring myself to do it. When I started trying in sept I was sure I would be pregnant by Jan at the latest!!!! Blush

@Needallthesleep
Thanks for the link I'll have a look at the the page x

Jellybean252 · 31/01/2020 20:18

After having had a look at the SMEP plan (i hadn't even heard of it before today!) It seems very intense.
Trying every other day after CD 8 seems almost impossible when me and DH are both working long days. Trying every other day when I'm predicted to ovulate is enough.
Is it just me or does DTD seem so tedious when it's around that time.
I mean I have a great time when it's spontaneous and not pre planned, it just sucks all the fun out when I've carefully planned out which days we should DTD to increase our chances.

Does anyone else feel the same?

Needallthesleep · 31/01/2020 20:48

@Jellybean252 yes completely agree. Both DH and I are in intense jobs, working long hours, with a toddler, so I think it’s impossible for us (we are normally once a week people). What I will do next round is DTD on day 13, 15, then 3 days in a row following the positive OPK. We just need to have more sex!

Posharmchairs · 31/01/2020 20:50

@Jellybean252 absolutely! Especially when trying to dtd and toddler starts demanding early morning fireman Sam from over the baby monitor 🤦‍♀️

Honestly I don’t know how we were so dedicated last time, I do however recall dh complaining that it was going to fall off 😂

professorastrocat · 31/01/2020 20:50

@Jellybean252 definitely agree! It's crazy the fertile window is so small really adds the pressure on.

Jellybean252 · 31/01/2020 22:13

Hahaha thanks ladies -atleast I'm not the only one who feels like this!!

Next cycle I hope I get a positive opk to start with - didn't even manage that this time.

I'm sure we'll get there eventually fingers crossed.

Anon87 · 31/01/2020 23:36

Blooming 'eck

I go to work and watch a rugby match and come back to all this support thrown round from every angle and other ladies boarding the bus. Hiiiiii 👋🏻👋🏻

Love this group, me.

8dpo for me (according to Fem)
Boobs are agony and seem massive (I'm already big boobed) lower back hurts and belly still cramping and now bloated.
Still not tested, Fem recommends a test on 2nd Feb which I'll use an IC for but still not feeling it.

notetaker · 31/01/2020 23:45

I mean seriously guys, we’re all stocking together regardless, right?

notetaker · 31/01/2020 23:45

*sticking, obviously 🙈

professorastrocat · 01/02/2020 08:16

@notetaker defo!
@Anon87 those sound like some list of symptoms, are those usual pmt type symptoms or do they feel pretty different this month?

I'm 4dpo or around and feel nothing at all apart from like someone had stabbed me in the boob suddenly last night but I prob only noticed as I'm so attuned to things right now.

Just generally...why on earth does the early pregnancy experience have to be exact same as possible pmt symptoms? Just cruel!

Anon87 · 01/02/2020 08:22

@professorastrocat I'm assuming it'll be PMS symptoms, they'll just seem full blown because I was use to the lightweight version on Mirena 😆

I'd rather suffer full on pregnancy than PMS month after month.

Only been BBT a few days but this morning's jumped down from 36.6 to 36.5 I'm guessing thats what happens when AF is on her way.

Excited to see what we get upto in the March bus 😂

littletandme · 01/02/2020 08:28

Can any of you lovely ladies that temp tell me if yesterday could have been an implantation dip? I'm glad to see this mornings temp back up (although I did have two glasses of wine last night which I know can affect it). 8dpo today!
