Hey ladies,

Posted on a few threads but think it's about the time I might know what I'm sorta on about! Ha!

Looking for some TTC Buddies I can what's app :-)

A bit about me, I'm 28.. 29 in April.. my husband is a year younger than me. We've been married just over a year and together for 9 years this July.

I came off the pill Cerelle 24th November after years of the pill then implant and then the pill again. Never had periods on any. Just a few withdrawals when I missed a few pills.

Anyway! Been actively TTC since my withdrawal bleed 25-29th November.

Finally after a December of no Flo she's arrived today. So finally I can accurately start trying to track on Ovia! GrinGrin

What's your story?

MrsTwentySeven · 27/01/2020 21:35

@NChangeForNoReason oh gosh yes
I know my “due date” being Oct 15th and that I would want to leave from mid September 😳 (plus also how to decorate the nursery and when to start etc etc haha)

Anon87 · 27/01/2020 21:44

@MrsTwentySeven You're so organised! There's not a chance I'd be able to list us all lol but you're correct with me.
I don't know when AF is due because I've not had a proper one in about 3 years so I am literally winging it 🤷🏻‍♀️

What's this about a troll? What did I miss whilst squishing my sore boobs and OH half telling me "it's a good sign" 😆

Hatepickinganame · 27/01/2020 21:52

@nchangefornoreason @MrsTwentySeven my due date would be 11th october. Next cycle would be 6th november assuming AF shows up on time 😂 I'll get xmas off work 😊 I've no idea on nursery, me and oh are quite geeky (superheroes, harry potter (me) that kind of thing) so maybe we could theme it. Now im daydreaming! And thanks for changing my dpo @MrsTwentySeven i wasnt 100% sure i was right haha x

NChangeForNoReason · 27/01/2020 21:55

@MrsTwentySeven

Due 14th
CSec 7th
Mat leave at 35w
Holiday from 33w
Last day in office 14th Aug Blush

I went on Leave at 36w with #2, I was then ill for a week, watched Netflix for a week, batch cooked for a week and then he came early. Was no where enough time to prep my head and for #3 I will have a toddler at my heels!

littletandme · 27/01/2020 22:04

@NChangeForNoReason I went on holiday from 37+5, mat leave from 40w, with DD and was so bored by the time she arrived at 41+2!

This time I certainly won't be bored, I haven't thought about when I'll take holiday from though. If my pregnancy is (hopefully) as good then I'll probably work till a similar time!

Anon87 · 27/01/2020 22:23

I didn't get to do proper Mat leave last time. I got to 5 months and handed in my notice. They wasn't looking after me (and I'm far from a princess) and that set the tone of what to expect on leave and returning.

Fast forward 13 years later....
I've booked 2 weeks away already.
These will look after me, I'm also management now so the lightest of duties is no problem. If I have a week left to use I'll take it at 38 week and start mat at 39. If not, mat at 38. I'm deffo having 2 weeks of feet up and Netflix

Posharmchairs · 28/01/2020 06:45

Oh this reminds me so much of willing the time away at the end of my 1st pregnancy!
I dread to think how tired I’d be with another, as for putting feet up... I reckon I’ll be giving donkey rides well into my third trimester and probably have promised to take ds to soft play the day I go into labour 😂
As for afterwards, I’ve told dh I want a week in bed, after that I can imagine it’d be muuuuuuuumyyyyy make cake pleeeeeease 🤦‍♀️

paintfairy · 28/01/2020 07:22

Omg. Lol. I go away for 5 minutes, come back and we've skipped to maternity leave? I feel like I've missed something somewhere. Pmsl. Honestly you guys!

I'm 11dpo today. I'm started to get stressed about it. Body is definitely giving signs but I think its going to end in disappointment. Sad

Hatepickinganame · 28/01/2020 07:36

Good morning everyone! Here's hoping todays a better day, especially for those of us who had a rough day yesterday!

@paintfairy are you planning to test before af? I'm 8dpo today and all symptoms ive had the last few days have gone lol damn pms and its ability to trick us.

Posharmchairs · 28/01/2020 07:44

@paintfairy 11dpo is where I got to last time before poas. Might be worth holding out if you can because regardless of the result you’ll likely not believe it if it’s positive and spend eleventy million pounds on more expensive tests or be really disappointed with a potentially false negative. Flowers

P.s I am truly chucking rocks out my greenhouse there but trying to be helpful x

paintfairy · 28/01/2020 07:47

I was planning on waiting until Saturday (AF due). But I might have a breakdown. Tomorrow I won't have time, but I might test Thursday. I suppose it'll put me out of my misery. But then- it won't, because if it's negative, you secretly hope it just isn't picking it up! Lol. Ridiculous.

I got cramps yesterday. Lasted half an hour max. But definitely af type (not as bad) cramps. An hour later I had blood. I've also got blood again this morning. But because I always do this in my LP anyway, it really means nothing! (Not the cramps though, I never get those until 2 hours before AF, that was definitely odd).

I have been thinking though- I'm not sure we are all nuts. I came off the pill 18 months before TTC. I therefore knew what was normal. And whilst there was variation, there was still a pattern. The last 2 months have been very different. Things have happened that have never before. I don't think it is just me. Therefore, my cycles are coincidentally choosing now to change, or our bodies do things in reaction to TTC? - even if it doesn't result in being a successful implantation, I think there are still things triggered by us trying? Which would mean we aren't crazy at all. Confused

2020wisher · 28/01/2020 08:25

@paintfairy I think you’ve done amazingly well to hold out! Fingers crossed for you.

@hatepickinganame my symptoms are all gone too 😂 I realised I won’t be able to test at all this week, my first chance is Monday (day before af) still too early but I could be tempted if I’ve held out till then.

whatsthecraic91 · 28/01/2020 08:30

I can’t keep up with you people 😂😂

Hatepickinganame · 28/01/2020 08:32

@2020wisher maybe its a good thing?! Lol i already think im out this time, with all 3 of mine i just knew, taking the test was a formality cause i knew it would be positive. But five years is a long time and i cant remember why i knew, if it was cause af was late, symptoms or anything 😂 ttc is fun huh. Im due a week tomorrow, we can make it without testing, cant we??

MrsTwentySeven · 28/01/2020 08:46

Good morning ladies 🌞
Here’s to another optimistic day ,with or without symptoms !
I have vivid dreams but I’m sure I always have vivid dreams 🧐 Some of these symptoms are just silly 🤣
I have a late shift tonight so won’t have anytime to even catch up with you all or think about POAS
We can hold out 💪🏽
Though I know I’m only holding out until 10DPO ...I know me too well 😕

Mc3209 · 28/01/2020 08:53

Hello girlies! I am at the CD3 of Cycle 1 trying for the first one. I am 31 and my husband is 40. Not expecting AF on 20th Feb. Still all exciting for me. I am sure that will change once I hit 2ww..
And yes, I have thought of mat leave too already!

MimiArm · 28/01/2020 08:59

Morning everyone Smile
Another day over and hope everyone is hanging in there.
I'm still yapping about this chest infection which is being stubborn and doesn't want to leave. At least it's preoccupying my thoughts a bit though.
@paintfairy I think you are spot on about our TTC bodies tricking us. I was reading that book "the impatient woman's guide to getting pregnant" again last night, particularly the TWW section. ... honestly, what the author writes is so true! It's like reading posts on here. But she also says (true or not) that it's just not really possible to be having symptoms any earlier that a positive pt would show. So I'm quitting with the symptom spotting - what will be will be Smile

Supper16 · 28/01/2020 09:08

Morning everyone, I am mostly lurking but following along. 8DPO here, AF due on 4th Feb and very regular. Holding out till she is late to test, because I don't like spending money on the damn things.

TTC #2, would be due on 13 Oct. Would really like to avoid Dec, Jan, Feb baby so got 🤞 for this month!

paintfairy · 28/01/2020 09:34

@MimiArm I think the same. You might get implantation bleeding/cramps. But beyond that, I'm sure not much else is likely really happening. Not enough to know before testing.

MrsTwentySeven · 28/01/2020 09:41

@MimiArm you’re always the voice of reason 🤗
Yeah, scientifically speaking the body doesn’t even know anything has happened until after implantation right...why do we do this to ourselves 😂

professorastrocat · 28/01/2020 09:46

Morning all, hope everyone has a good day.
Welcome to anyone who's just joined. @MimiArm definitely the voice of reason, it's good to at least try to be rational 😬

Wise0wl · 28/01/2020 09:58

@paintfairy I totally agree. I’ve been off the pill for 8/9 months and thought I knew what ‘normal’ for me was; started TTC and my cycles are all over the place making it so difficult to know! Time will tell I guess....

😂 at the planning of mat leave! I’m so glad to have found you all.

notetaker · 28/01/2020 10:16

Morning all!
You've got me dreaming about mat leave now... I'd ideally like to change jobs but obviously that's not ideal while TTC, so I feel a bit in limbo right now!
No symptoms really today - TMI but my cervix might still be a little high? who am I kidding I have no idea where my cervix is 😂

Sending loads of positive thoughts to all of you. Our bodies are doing whatever they're doing already, no matter how much we worry about it - you're right @MimiArm, what will be will be.
