Hey ladies,

Posted on a few threads but think it's about the time I might know what I'm sorta on about! Ha!

Looking for some TTC Buddies I can what's app :-)

A bit about me, I'm 28.. 29 in April.. my husband is a year younger than me. We've been married just over a year and together for 9 years this July.

I came off the pill Cerelle 24th November after years of the pill then implant and then the pill again. Never had periods on any. Just a few withdrawals when I missed a few pills.

Anyway! Been actively TTC since my withdrawal bleed 25-29th November.

Finally after a December of no Flo she's arrived today. So finally I can accurately start trying to track on Ovia! GrinGrin

What's your story?

@RoseA89 I'm fine thank you. Cd 9 tomorrow so tracking ovulation and then hope for the best! Now we're trying I feel ever more conscious of our ages...trying to just be positive.

professorastrocat · 24/01/2020 23:28

@littletandme same! I think I'm the heaviest I've ever been. Just never have the time to focus on myself. Or never make the time one or the other.

RoseA89 · 24/01/2020 23:43

@professorastrocat sending loads of luck to you! Hope you get the result you want and don't worry about age, it will happen. As for weight, I lost a lot of weight recently. I actually found it really useful to reduce the amount of gluten in my diet. The gluten free alternatives are actually alright. I've also read that gluten causes inflammation in the body which can affect fertility. Not sure if it's been proven, but it's definitely helpful for weight loss x

RoseA89 · 24/01/2020 23:45

@MrsTwentySeven thank you for replying. Trying not to worry, but easier said than done!

How are you getting on? x

MrsTwentySeven · 25/01/2020 08:20

@littletandme @professorastrocat glad to know I’m not on my own with the weight concerns!
I’ve also told myself not to get my hopes up because of this as it’s our first proper TTC cycle and chances are so slim ....I’m going to just take it as an extra month for me to try and get healthy!

@RoseA89 anytime :) I think I am 3dpo today...(or 2 at the latest) Trying not to think about it until next weekend atleast. Hope you get a better idea with a FRER - agree with @Hatepickinganame , FRERS are raved about on these forums

littletandme · 25/01/2020 08:34

Decent temp increase this morning, so 1dpo today!! So exciting. I have no idea if we DTD enough this cycle but we're not in a rush really, I'm just a control freak 🤣 we have a trip to Center Parcs booked for the end of September so may have to postpone that if I'm pregnant this cycle!

Anyone else got any nice holiday plans? We are going to Lanzarote with PIL and SIL in just less than 7 weeks!

professorastrocat · 25/01/2020 09:00

@littletandme exciting!
First flashy smiley for me today!

We've booked Center parcs for in a few weeks! Planning something for Easter time. Rally don't like being restricted now by school terms

Hatepickinganame · 25/01/2020 09:19

@littletandme weve been looking for a haven holiday but like @professorastrocat were struggling with school restrictions! Think i might take mine out for it.

Posharmchairs · 25/01/2020 09:49

Hi all. May I hop aboard? Af turned up yesterday so fingers crossed for a productive valentines 😂

Will have a read through to get an idea of where everyone is at.

Ttc #2 cycle 2

professorastrocat · 25/01/2020 10:47

@Posharmchairs welcome! How are you doing? I'm in same boat, on cycle 2 ttc #2.

Hatepickinganame · 25/01/2020 11:24

@Posharmchairs welcome! Good luck for this month 😊

littletandme · 25/01/2020 11:29

@Hatepickinganame @professorastrocat I'm not looking forward to that part of DD going to school! She's August so will be going from next September, so not long really. We'll have to get a holiday in before next summer if possible to make the most of it.

Posharmchairs · 25/01/2020 11:45

Thanks for the welcome 🙏

I’m okay, absolutely miserable yesterday AF came a week early so didn’t even get to my test day (had tested earlier like you do!). But onwards and upwards, looking forward to the crazy chat. Soft cervix’s here we come 😂

Anon87 · 25/01/2020 11:48

Well, this was my first found and tracked ovulation and I've backed off the booze and took my folic acids and jumped on him when we've had the chance.
Not much more I can do but wait really 🤷🏻‍♀️

According to my app I'm only 1dpo and my first customer greeted me with "your skins lovely, you're glowing"
Could you imagine? 😂

Hatepickinganame · 25/01/2020 12:31

@Anon87 wish they would say something lovely like that to me haha all i get is you look tired 😂 anyone symptom spotting yet haha

MrsTwentySeven · 25/01/2020 13:10

I have a week off in June @littlet

Really not sure whether to book anything long haul 'just in case'
Such an awkward predicament
Is anyone trying to save up annual leave at work like me so it can be added onto mat leave ? Or is that just my craziness...

MrsTwentySeven · 25/01/2020 13:18

Welcome @posharmchairs !

Haha symptom spotting as of 3dpo - a blocked nose 😂 no physical way of the body to know anything yet but the brain....oh my brain and it's tendencies to google nursery decorations....AHHH!

Hatepickinganame · 25/01/2020 13:34

@MrsTwentySeven i stupidly read a thread about a 9dpo bfp, and its left me confused cause i thought implantation took over a week to happen from ov and even then hgc could be too low to pick up... i started getting cramps yesterday and today. Think my mind is running away with itself at the moment!!! 😂😂😂😂

Anon87 · 25/01/2020 13:54

@Hatepickinganame I usually get that and "smile love" no, I want wine "But it's 9.45am" then you see why I'm not smiling... 😂😂

@MrsTwentySeven I'm putting nothing on hold, I refuse to. I'll just adapt and work around haha.
I wasn't going long haul anyway, but we've got a rock concert in June and a trip to Berlin in July.

professorastrocat · 25/01/2020 13:54

@Hatepickinganame they work off averages but there was a study I believe that found implantation can occur 6-12 dpo. With earlier than 8dpo being rare. I definitely didn't do way too much googling last cycle.... 🙄

Hatepickinganame · 25/01/2020 14:04

Hahaha @professorastrocat i google everything! Until we decided to ttc i had no idea about any of this stuff, never heard if ewcm, implantation or any of it really! And at the age of 33 and having had 3 kids already, i didnt know that an egg is only viable for up to 24 hours 😂😏

MrsTwentySeven · 25/01/2020 14:04

@anon87 haha I wish I could be like that. Ahh that sounds fun! We were going to book a trip to Norway which I suppose we still can go if it's an October baby!

@hatepickaname like @professorastrocat said ....6-12 dpo is what I've read too with even 6 being quite rare. I even think the most sensitive tests could only pick up hcg at 10-11dpo at the earliest. TWW is so awful isn't it Confused

Hatepickinganame · 25/01/2020 14:08

@MrsTwentySeven just made me wonder how people get bfps so early, and it was a proper line too. Still not testing until af is late. Thats my missions. Clearblue dont need any more of my hard earned cash for absolutely no reason hahaha

Anon87 · 25/01/2020 14:09

@MrsTwentySeven Very jealous of Norway. It's on our list but way off for us. I'm hoping OH family do a big family affair holiday like last year. 2 weeks hot and sunny is what we all deserve after all this googling, calculating, testing, worrying etc etc

MrsTwentySeven · 25/01/2020 14:16

@hatepickinganame absolutely ! And from reading around (which even now I’m doing ...in between posting here haha) experts say that women always miscalculate ovulation day so when they say BFP 8dpo they’re probably 13dpo and just hadn’t realised they ovulated earlier

@Anon87 aww you’re spot on, we all deserve 2 weeks in the sun after all this waiting around anxiously for AF / BFPs.
