Ovulation dates

Hi all!

I'm very new to all this. Myself and my husband are going to try for a baby this year using AI (I'm gay and my husband is transgender so unable to conceive naturally)
I've been tracking my periods and doing ovulation strips through the fermometer app and just this minute downloaded the Flo app to compare. Both are now telling me different ovulation dates and I'm panicking a bit. We need to know which dates I'm ovulating to make sure we see our donor at the right time.

Can anyone advise? Thanks! Smile

You need to use OPKS they are really reliable. You can buy a pack on amazon for like £5 and I’ve found the cheaper ones are just as effective. Start testing once a day after your period until you get a positive Smile

The apps aren’t reliable, just an estimate, until you start uploading your OPKS and regular information so they can form a pattern Flowers

Hi!

Thanks for your reply! I should of added, I have been using the ovulation strips with the fermometer app, does this mean they're more reliable?

Thanks!

If you have been uploading the strip results to the fermometer app then that’s likely more reliable. Have you got a positive OPK yet?

I have but only once. I've been doing them since mid October. My one peak day was Boxing Day

You need to do them for a few months to notice a pattern. Last month I ovulated on cycle day 13 but this month it was cycle day 15.
