Ovulation & Timed Sex Question

Hi all, this is my first time here so I’m hoping some of you can offer some advice.

I am very new to the world of TTC and have an erratic cycle, but I just wanted to hear your thoughts on chances this month:

CD21 - Neg OPK
CD22 - Neg OPK (had sex)
CD23 - Neg OPK
CD24 - Neg OPK
CD25 - Neg OPK
CD26 - Pos OPK (had sex)
CD27 - Pos OPK in morning, negative OPK in afternoon.

My understanding is that once you ovulate, the LH surge declines. Do you think I caught ovulation at the right time?

Yea possibly, I did also track on my last cycle (when I finally conceived). Similar to you I had positive For 2 days ish.

Personally though that last cycle I just was thinking "f@&k this shit I'm gonna just have fun" so even when I wasn't ovulating I was DTD every other day. I mainly tracked so I knew when to expect my AF! Sperm can last up to 5 days in your system so even having sex on the lead up to ovulation can also work.

Would have been optimal to have some prior to the positive test too but yes hopefully you caught it xx

@sarahc336 I did on the night of CD 22 (3.5 days prior to getting the +OPK) would that have been any good? X

I think they say so erm can live up to 5 days so I think any of the days leading up to ovulation are classed as fertile as well as The day of ovulation so your in with a shot I'd say

You ovulate between 12-36 hours after a positive opk. I've ovulated the same day as a positive and 3 days after a positive, so not an exact science. Hopefully you have caught it this time. If not, try dtd a day or two after the positive as well as in the days leading up to it.
