Confused about dates

I phoned to try and book a private scan as my app and doctor said I'm about 8 weeks as my last period was 17 November but they said I'm only 6 weeks

So why has the doctor put my scan at 7 feb? Shouldn't it be further away

You'll be 7 weeks on Sunday. At your scan you'll be almost 12 weeks, which is a good time for your dating scan.

Thank u.. I actually phoned the hospital and explained all this and they said they had made an error with booking the scan too soon so they have changed it to 10 February
