TTC after being on the depo.

Hi everyone.

I came off the depo after approx a year in early November. I’ve read some real horror stories about withdrawal symptoms and delayed fertility etc.

I’ve not had a period yet and I have been bloating, sore boobs etc. I don’t know if it’s worth a couple of months on the pill to try even the hormones out or something? I’m terrified of bleeding for months at a time once it all comes back.

I have been on the depo in the past but when I stopped it was to change to the pill. With a previous partner I came off the pill to ttc and my periods came back almost instantly although they were irregular (no pregnancy though which in hindsight was lucky!)

Does anyone have any advice please?

Depo can delay return to fertility for up to 1 year, sometimes longer. Dont know whether taking the pill helps or not

Hi, I have heard that and I don’t really mind as we’ve taking it into account (although I wish I’d known when making my choice to go on it.) It’s the stories of the constant bleeding and terrible withdrawal that’s concerning me.
