Hi ladies,
I had my iud (jaydess) taken out late October, AF came 23rd November for 4 days had cramping a couple of days after my ovulation date however I am now 10 days late and currently 41 day cycle?!
I have taken 3 pregnancy tests all have come up negative... I tried first response early response, clear blue and a boots own brand tests all negative.
I’ve had lower backache for nearly 3 weeks now, sore itchy nipples/boobs, nausea, headaches, hot and cold temp, metallic taste in mouth, fatigue...you name it... I also have a dull ache down there? But not like a period pain?

I tried to book an appointment with my doctor but they said there would be no point?! I then rang back and stressed to them that I was worried as I didn’t know what was going on and finally got an appointment for 10th Jan (urgh) ... just wondering if anyone is going through the same? Or has previously gone through the same and got a BFP?

I know we haven’t been TTC for long it’s just this is very strange, before my iud I was having 28/29 day cycles? xx

It takes a long time for your body to return to normal after stopping contraception. I had cycles ranging 35-50 days. I came off contraception in January and fell pregnant in June. Due next month. Hope this helps! X

Rosehip345 · 02/01/2020 01:41

My cycles are generally 35-40 days. I was 20days late before I got a positive test for one of mine so it is possible. I actually thought I was having a phantom pregnancy because of the symptoms

This is currently me at the moment! I’m on CD 41, back pain, head aches, itchy right nipple? (very weird haha) & mild lower abdominal pain! My usual cycle is around 33-35 days and I have been regular since coming off the pill back in July 19!
Took multiple test and all negative! let me know how you get on!

MGee123 · 04/01/2020 15:22

I had the mirena coil removed in August and my cycles have been up and down with some odd 'symptoms' similar to what you describe. I have had 33, 35, 22 and last a 28 day cycle so I feel like things are starting to settle, although I'm not convinced I've actually ovulated in any of these cycles as I've had no positive OPKs 🤷‍♀️ I think for some people it can take 6 months for things to settle down after stopping contraception, so I would try not to worry too much for another couple of months. It might be helpful to anticipate it will take a bit longer than you'd hoped to conceive. I've sort of made my peace with it now and am trying to cut my body some slack! Having pumped it with hormones for 15 years it seems reasonable it needs a bit of time to adjust! Totally empathise with your frustrations though, it is difficult to cope with.

fllinn · 04/01/2020 16:36

Are you tracking your cycle to detect ovulation through taking your temperature? If not, then you probably haven't ovulated yet/on time. Your symptoms may well just be your hormones settling down. I'd advise you to start taking your temperature to track your cycles as otherwise you will always think you're late for your period if really you have ovulated late, and that's really stressful.

sarahc336 · 04/01/2020 16:54

Normally if we're late with a bfn it's because we ovulated late and it can take a while for your cycles to get back to normal
After contraception Smile

rachTTC · 04/01/2020 20:16

reading all these is so helpful!

Hopefully get a bfp soon! This TTC malarkey is so frustrating 🙈

OLR92 · 09/01/2020 19:46

My mind is already at ease reading these posts. Came off the Cerazette in August 19 knowing we would start trying in the new year!
Had 3 cycles of 35 days, all normal but a little longer than the average 28. And now the time has come to actually start trying I'm currently 5 days late and cycle day 42, negative tests. Starting to panic a little but maybe it's just a waiting game!
Good luck to you all Smile

xoJellyBean · 09/01/2020 20:50

I can relate to you all on this lol cycle day 43 here with negative tests!

rachTTC · 10/01/2020 19:05

so I’m on CD47, and technically around 1 week and a half late for AF but I ovulated on CD 40 I think. So tomorrow is 8dpo, is it too early to test? I’ve been really tired and a couple of cramps but nothing crazy! feel like it’s a negative already

Soozbuck · 10/01/2020 19:10

Hi Ladies,
Thought I'd check back in.
I contacted my doctors and had a blood test. They tested for pregnancy, thyroid, red blood count amongst other things..
Rang today to get results and was told, everything's fine and you're not pregnant.

So here I am- cycle day 49. (18 days late)
Still with the same symptoms and still haven't got a clue what's going on!!

🙈🙈🙈🙈

RachTTC hoping that I've also just ovulated late this month. Are you using anything to track ovulation?
Soozbuck, that's positive... I'm just trying to stay calm as I know deep down stressing over it isn't going to help... but it's so hard!!! Smile

Positive weekend vibes!!!

Snowflake9 · 10/01/2020 21:56

Hey, you have just ovulated late. It happens from time to time. Have you thought about tracking your temperature? It's the only way I felt completely in control and at ease. I had so many months where I thought I was late. Then I started to track and knew exactly when my AF would arrive. It was spot on.

Good luck on your journey.

OLR92 · 10/01/2020 21:59

Snowflake9 do you use an app to record? Any advice on apps and thermometers? Smile

Snowflake9 · 10/01/2020 22:10

As if I just typed a huge response and it got deleted.

So... Download fertility friend. I bought my thermometer on eBay. Make sure it reads to 2 decimal places.

Take temp every morning at the same time without getting out of bed. BBT only tells you when you have ovulated, not when you will. I noticed a pattern though that mine would drop before it rose. Meaning that's when I was ovulating. Then it was the 2ww for AF, I much rather see her than a negative test.

All the best to you. Feel free to pm me if you want any more info or have questions.

rachTTC · 10/01/2020 23:39

ORL92 I’ve got natural cycles and the Premom app which I try to log my bbt! only thing is I’m a terrible sleeper and alarm snoozer so I feel like I’ll mess my temps up! Im using easy@home ovulation strips each month! I think I just want to see AF at this point so I can start a fresh!
