One faint line, no others

Hi! First time poster here. I’ve had a very faint line today on test, about 8 days before period is due. Can’t reproduce it (all other test coming back negative, including one targeted at early pregnancy). Wondering if this is an anomaly/error?

Hi I don’t think you can attach stuff in the first 24h
When is you period due?
If it’s 8 days away it might well be 9 days before you can reliably test.
I would wait at least a week

8 days before a period would be exceptionally early for a positive test as implantation more than likely wouldn't have happened yet and you start producing HCG, which is what the tests pick up, after implantation. I would wait until closer to your period due date for a reliable result.

You can't post pictures for 48 hours after joining, if you've been around longer it's the paperclip in the app.

Thanks. Definitely think I need to sit on it and wait. I have quite a short cycle and ovulate early within it so trying to figure out how realistic the positive faint line could be, but yes need to just relax and see after a week. I'll post a photo if I get another

Your luteal phase (between ovulation and period) is 11-17 days but typically 12-14, an egg implants as early as 5 days but as late as 12 days after its fertilised so 8 days before your period is very early given both of those even at the short end of the range. You also need time for hcg to build up enough to be picked up if you are pregnant.

It's worth keeping these in mind when testing, I wasted soooo many tests and had a lot of disappointment because I'm impatient and tested too early.
