Should the lines be stronger?

I got my first definite positive on a FRER yesterday, I think I'm around 11/12dpo. I also did a Morrison's test and an IC yesterday and today. The IC has got darker but the Morrison's one hasn't. Should I be worried that it's not darker? The top two are yesterday's and the bottom two are today's.

Should the lines be stronger?

Firstly, massive congratulations! They're good lines given you've not even technically missed a period yet

HCG increases around every 48hrs so put down the sticks and test again in a couple of days. Best of luck

latheritup · 01/01/2020 15:04

No, not at all. Those are strong positives to me. Congratulations!

Banoffeepie91 · 01/01/2020 15:13

@Crazymummyto3 congratulations! No doubting those lines!
Just wondered, did your IC one at the top come up like that straight away? I’ve done one today and it was exactly like yours but after 15 mins which is obviously after the stated time so I think mine is probably an evap line. I’m going to wait until the weekend to test next if AF still hasn’t shown up.

Those are really good lines for how early you are. Plus they get a bit stronger every 48 hours. Not to mention that in urine can all be different depending on how much you drank, etc.

Thanks everyone, I know that I'm reading too much into it and what will be will be, but it's hard not to 😩 Even though this is my fourth pregnancy it's still as nerve-wrecking. It feels so weird to be writing that I'm pregnant! I've got a Clearblue digital arriving on Friday so I'll wait until then.

@Banoffeepie91 It showed up as a definite line within a couple of minutes, then got clearer as it dried. I'd been getting faint, squinty lines for three days before but that was the first one I could see without squinting. Good luck 🤞

My 12dpo test, I wasn’t even sure it was positive at first! Yours look like good lines Smile

Should the lines be stronger?

Hi @Crazymummyto3 I've been getting squinty lines for the last 2 days... I'm trying to hold off until Friday to test again - but I'll probably test again tomorrow because I can't resist!!!

It's out 1st time ttc for #1 so thought it very unlikely to get a BFP in our first try so if these very faint squinty lines get darker I will be flabbergasted (but thrilled... And terrified in equal measure!) xx

Sausage1990 · 02/01/2020 07:50

So I tested again this morning... (I mean I really was kidding myself when I said I'd wait until Friday or Saturday!!!)

It's a bit of a squinter.... But could it be true???

(excuse the toilet roll holder in the background 😂)

Should the lines be stronger?
Crazymummyto3 · 02/01/2020 08:01

@Sausage1990 That's definitely a positive, I didn't even have to squint or enlarge the photo to see it! Congratulations ☺️

@Sausage1990 How many dpo are you?

OP posts:
Absa · 02/01/2020 08:08

Mine took a while to get darker, so I really wouldn't worry.

Sausage1990 · 02/01/2020 08:12

@Crazymummyto3 I'm 15dpo and af is 2days late. Would you be confident that it's a BFP then?? I think I'm a bit in shock lol

@absa oh really?! How long until you were seeing a stronger line?

Absa · 02/01/2020 08:38

@Sausage1990 it stayed about the same as yours for a good 3-4 days and then started to get darker after my missed period.

Absa · 04/01/2020 08:19

How are you getting on @Sausage1990 ?

Sausage1990 · 04/01/2020 09:32

Hi @absa im doing OK. All the tests the last few days have been the same. There but faint. I havnt done another one today yet but I think I might leave it until tomorrow as doing the tests every day is a bit like torture and making me worry because they're not getting stronger.

I still have no af, cm has gone back white and is more in volume, still getting headaches, mild cramps and sore boobs on an off... So all the signs are still there but I'm still a bit afraid to get ahead of myself... I don't know if that's normal behaviour hahaha

WingBingo · 04/01/2020 09:34

Stop testing! A line is a line.

Absa · 04/01/2020 23:20

I'd take the line and symptoms as a BFP and relax a little now :)

Sausage1990 · 05/01/2020 10:16

@absa well I decided to double check and the tests came back negative... There's no line anymore ☹️ I genuinely thought it would be stronger and it would just put my mind at ease but there was nothing there. I used the same brand as last time and it was 48hrs later so it should be darker.

I know it was only our 1st time trying and early days but I feel really sad that this looks like a chemical.

Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for af to arrive with a chemical?? Or any advice in general on this situation?
X

Absa · 05/01/2020 11:02

Sorry to hear that. I don't have any advice I'm afraid but wish you all the best for future months x

Hardheadedwoman39 · 05/01/2020 11:12

@Sausage1990 I think with a chemical af should only be a few days late. That was my experience of it.
Good luck for next month x

Sausage1990 · 05/01/2020 11:47

@Hardheadedwoman39 @Absa
Thanks both. Looks like it's a waiting game for af now...
Yes on to another cycle. Xx
