I'm 41, been trying for 18 months. 3 CPs since May. Feeling like hope is gone. How about you

There's a very friendly & supportive group of 40+ ladies here: Over 40's TTC loads of baby dust to all... 5 www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/3737076-over-40-s-ttc-loads-of-baby-dust-to-all-5
it's a mix of those still TTC, some pregnant and a few new mums.

I'll be 40 on Tuesday, one MC in may then 2 chemicals and a pregnancy or unknown location 😩! Still trying and currently 1dpo.... So frustrating as I have 4 children and had no problem concieving until last year when my new partner and I decided to try, wishing you well and please keep us updated on how you get on 😊 xx

Hi all, I'm 43 and have been TTC for 2 years now, I know...I left it late meeting my forever DH 😬.

My journey so far....One early m/c in Feb '18 (5 wks- natural), one in Nov '19 (13 wks- IVF) and found out today I got pregnant immediately after that m/c in Dec '19 (naturally) but despite being two weeks late, my hCG levels are so low it's likely I'll miscarry again shortly.

While it's not a pretty picture, and everyone's story is different, I'm still so hopeful for all of us 40+ers. Of course age is a factor but it's not the only factor by a long stretch. In July 2019 I was told I was going through early menopause and the likelihood of conceiving at all was a whopping 1% only to get pregnant the next month with IVF on the first attempt! (hence the username)

I was advised to take DHEA (always talk to your doc before), which saw my FSH go from 40+ in July to 7.2 in August. Acupuncture has helped at every stage and (sadly) I believe drinking a little less has too...boo.

Having heard my news today it's hard for me to say it but please don't give up hope, women DO conceive and give birth to happy healthy babies in their 40s, it's not impossible, in fact it's an increasing statistic...

Fingers crossed and baby dust to us all ❤️🙏

Trying too. I am 41 and Generali havé dreadfully long cycles. I still bf my 9 months old baby although I have reduced it to only 3 feeds per 24h. I do not have my period back yet. We are trying for number two (met dh at 38). Feeling a bit desperate as I think it is probably to late for us.
