Stuck in the middle

Hello!

I'm 30 and we've been TTC for the first time for 8 months now and not had any luck so far. I came off the pill and back to regular periods on a normal cycle straight away. We've used ovulation tests and have my days pretty much pinpointed, based on tests and symptoms. I'm using Ovia to track everything. I do suffer with anxiety, so I wonder if it's having an affect, though I'm doing fairly well mental health wise mostly.

I've only met people who have either taken a year or two (or more), including some IVF, to have children, or people who have become pregnant pretty much straight away. No middle ground. I know I'm still within normal range, but knowing we're trying everything - regularly and by the book - it's so frustrating when my period comes on time every month. :( I guess I'm just hoping to hear from some people who have been there and successfully conceived in the 8-12 month period.

Hi @purpledaisies89 - My best friend started TTC after she got married in September and conceived the following May so it took 9 months. She’s now got a beautiful healthy 10 month old. Best of luck to you!

You could still talk to those who went through IVF, because most of them have struggled to conceive naturally before being referred to IVF.

Hope you get your BFP soon.

I am the same as you. About to start cycle 8 and didnt realise it would be so hard. I kind of wish we weren't even trying as life seemed so much easier then. Niavely i thought id be pregnant by now. I stopped BC in June had two really long cycles. Im now ovulating earlier but AF spotting arrives ten days later. So although i know it can take completely healthy couples over a year i cant help but worry xx
