SMEP after miscarriage - TTC but OPKs showing mismatched results

Hi, I'm looking for a little bit of advice on OPKs as TTC baby no. 2 following the SMEP! I'm on CD17 of cycle no. 2 following a missed miscarriage in Oct. Hubby and I have been DTD every other day since CD8, and OPK daily with the Clearblue advanced digital ovulation tests as well as the cheap Amazon ovulation test strips (Ovaview ones) since CD10. All tests have been negative, then tested with CB yesterday morning and was negative (static circle) then tested again at 6pm last night with cheapie Ovaview and this was a clear positive! How can CB be neg then cheapie clear positive 10 hours later - I would have thought I'd see flashing smiley (high fertility) on CB tests a few days before clear positive on Ovaview ones. Tested again this morning and CB now flashing smiley and Ovaview positive still. Did I have my Lh surge yesterday, or am I yet to have it and should wait for the static smiley (peak fertility) on CB tests? So confusing. Any advice from anyone who's experienced similar would be really appreciated :)

Hey, opk are so unreliable for some women and actually I never got a flashy smile on my CB digis. I'd always go negative to positive within 12 hours. I will then ovulate the next morning, BBT shows I've ovulated. Good luck.

Oh my guess too would be that you have possibly had that surge already. However, you can have more than one surge in a cycle (which is why opks arent reliable) as an egg isn't always released with a surge and so your body tries again. I'd say DTD asap and keep going every other day for next week to be safe

To avoid confusion I would only use one type of ovulation test. You need to be using the CB a few months for it to build up a pic of your hormones. As long as you are having sex before ovulation you have chance to conceive. Try not to worry too much. Good luck x
