Folic acid and cycle length

In September I started taking folic acid.
My cycle went from a 28/30 day cycle to 34 days. Obviously in October I convinced myself I was pregnant for the 4 days late but AF arrived on day 35 making it a 34 day cycle. In November I said I wouldn’t test until after day 34. AF arrived bang on day 34 so that was a 33 day cycle.
This month I am currently on CD35 no sign of AF, no discharge boobs a bit sore but otherwise feel normal.
I haven’t symptom spotted this month as we only had sex once on CD16- I didn’t test ovulation but previous month ovulated day 20.
I only have one FRER test in the house, When I convinced myself I was pregnant in October I tested in the morning and AF literally arrived within a few hours.

I’m not sure if I’m just seeing a further elongation of my cycle due to the folic acid and that by testing and seeing a negative I’ll just be kicking myself that I didn’t save it.

Not sure if there's a connection between folic acid and the length of your cycle. But I just wanted to suggest ordering a load of cheap one step tests off amazon (you can get a free prime trial and get next day delivery) and then you can save your FMU in a pot tomorrow morning and use it when your tests come? Then you can save the more expensive FRER for when you get a faint line on IC or are several days late for AF xx

Folic acid has been known to regulate cycle rather than increase the length of cycle so could be why it's a bit irregular ATM, while sorting itself out. But honestly I'd probably do the test but I'm always really impatient. Good luck OP.

Sorry, just remembered it's a Sunday! So you might not get them until Tuesday but still that's not too long to wait 🙂 or most super markets have tests for £1 if you can't wait. I think I would save the FRER through personally xx

I spent the last 2 months testing with strips from boots and promised myself I wouldn’t test so much this month. Maybe it is the folic acid just regulating me.
I’ll pick up some cheap tests tomorrow if no sign of AF
