Anyone had a frozen transfer

Delighted to say that I'm currently pregnant from an IVF cycle and fresh 5 day transfer. All being well we would love to be able to have another baby in a couple of years. We have 4 embryos in frozen storage. But I found that taking all the hormones was tough going physically/mentally/emotionally and worry about going through something like that again, especially with a small child to look after by then.

For those who have been through the process of a frozen transfer, what medications were u on for it? Did u find that there were negative effects from them?

All responses are appreciated Smile

It's much easier for a FET. Most of mine have been estrogen for 10 days, scan, a further few days then start progesterone too 5 days before transfer.

This time I had to down reg on day 21 and have an additional scan and blood test before doing as above.

I had negative effects from the progesterone. Like @DragonNight, I had to start taking it 5 days before FET and then until OTD, so in my case 19 days total. On my fresh cycle I only had to take 2 a day (rectal pessaries – FUN) but for the FET they put me on 3 a day and it made a difference. I couldn't wait to get off them this time – they made me feel very emotionally unstable. The positive change in my psychological state almost straight after coming off them was huge. I don't know how women with mental health problems cope with IVF
