I had my kids young at 22 and 26, i was the first of my friends and for years was the only one with kids. Now I'm 32 with a 10 and 6yo and my friends are only now having their babies. It's making me SO broody!! Dh and I have talked over and over about to have or not to have a third and we've agreed the age gap now would be too big; don't like the idea of a newborn and a child in senior school. Plus other financial reasons and dh is nearly 40 and worried about starting all over again.

Waffle waffle. I'm SO happy for all of my friends but feel broody and tbh I'm a bit jealous I'm embarrassed to say.

So please tell me all the bad reasons for having three and put me off!

your children won’t share a childhood. You won’t be able to do all the fun tween and teenage stuff without a toddler needing your attention. You won’t be free of having to get babysitters/pay for childcare/pay for hobbies/pay for university for another 20+ years, so won’t be able to enjoy any child free years at all. Your friends had their child free years in their twenties, when will you enjoy yours?

It’s fucking hard work. We had dc 3 (by accident) when the others were 12 and 9. Dealing with teens and a toddler is bloody hard work.
