Hi All, I had a scan on my ovaries about 5 years ago and the results showed that they were covered in either follicles or small cysts. I have only recently started TTC and so wanted to see my doctor to see if they thought my ovaries still had these and to see if they felt they were polycystic. The scan has come back and it shows many of what they think are follicles. My Dr has said that this shouldn't be anything to worry about but to keep an eye on things. I would be really interested to hear from anyone who has had this? Thank you! 🙏🏼 Xxx

One of my ovaries is polycystic, however it does not mean you have polycystic ovary syndrome. Have you had a blood test for PCOS? Could be worth having the test if you haven't already. Having small cysts on my ovary hasn't stopped me from getting pregnant, so try not to panic and see if you can push for a blood test.

If I remember correctly Lots of follicles begin each cycle but, only one or two mature an egg the little ones just sort of collapse and this is normal

I was diagnosed with PCOS around 2 years ago, my ovaries were the same as yours. The only reason they worried is because I didn't ovulate at all within the 9 weeks of blood tests they did. But tbh we were part of the lucky group, I was put on metformin, within 7 weeks of starting them I was pregnant 😊
Good luck op! Don't give up!

@London91 @Bessiebigpants @GAW19 thank you all so much for your responses. The Dr seems to think they aren't polycystic and are loads of follicles. But as always they can't be fully sure. They made it sound like it was unusual but nothing to worry about. I've been temping this month and have seen a rise in temp which I hope means I have ovulated.... let's see. And if nothing happens I will def push for a blood test xxxxx

@Flossie333 It probably isn't anything to be overly concerned about, but always best to double check. It hasn't stopped me from getting pregnant, although I've had several miscarriages but not related to the cysts.
