Brie and TTC

Over Christmas, I've been consuming a lot of brie (largely because I know I won't be able to next Christmas if I'm pregnant by then). I've been thinking of TTC my second baby sometime in the 2020 (no rush), but have read that listeriosis can have an incubation period of 90 days- does that mean I should put TTC on hold for that long post-brie, do you think?

I wouldn’t worry about it tbh. The risks are very slim

I mean this gently and nicely but... don't be so mad

In the nicest possible way, there's nothing to be concerned about until you are actually pregnant. And even then the risks are extremely low.

You can eat cooked brie when pregnant

Me and dd(10) eat Brie most days of the year and have never contracted any illness. I certainly wouldn't worry if not even pregnant (and personally didn't worry even when I was)

Yeah, but this was straight out of the fridge. An entire wheel of the stuff. Grin

Not an issue unless you are pregnant already. I was responding to the sentence where you said you wouldn't be able to eat it when pregnant

TheClausSeason · 27/12/2019 14:34

Thanks @dementespixie

Sorry to hear that, Milo. Better luck next month.

@TiffanyTrot don't tempt me! Luckily I've exhausted my supply for now. Next up: Wensleydale
