Hey all! I'm just wondering if someone could chime in here!

My LMP was April 4-8 or 9 and I normally have 23-25 day periods. I'm curious as to when I conceived and if anything from the beginning of April could have led to my pregnancy. I religiously took pregnancy tests from April 23-30 with negative results and then FINALLY on the 6th of May got a positive. Could this be because I ovulated and implanted late?

My ultrasound on June 18 was 10 weeks 5 days so my midwife said conception date from April 12-18.

Thoughts??

You me get have conceived April 18. Sex before that day most likely led to your pregnancy. However, scans are generally + or - 4 (ish) days, which means you conceived 14-22. Sperm can live for five days. So sex somewhere between 9-22 probably led to your pregnancy. The science can be much more precise than that unless you were tracking your cycle using opks and bbt...

Congrats.

@physicskate I haven't seen you on here for ages how are you?

Wonderful, just obviously rather sleep deprived! LG is now 9 months, my miracle. I still don't understand why the 'journey' was so shit, as it cost me my sanity, career and nearly my marriage. Almost back on an even keep.

How have you been???

And sorry op to hijack the thread...

So sorry OP to hijack post. @physicskate I'm so pleased for you. Was it the ivf route you went down? Forgive me for not remembering exactly.

physicskate · 26/12/2019 19:58

No worries - yes our first round of ivf.
