How to stop it feeling like a competition!

I feel like such a crazy loon for even thinking like this - SIL told me that her and BIL are TTC too.

Now every time I see them I feel all anxious that they are going to announce a pregnancy and I’m going to feel like a ball of jealousy. Which is mental because I’d want to be really happy for them!

Does anyone else ever have this? I want it to stop so I can just live my life never mind worrying about someone else’s sex life any advice?

I feel like this sometimes. SIL has just had a 2nd, few friends who I think might be TTC. Makes me feel awful as it’s not that I don’t want them to have babies, I’m just going to be soooo jealous. But still happy for them if you know what I mean. TTC is a crazy time.

Yes i can relate, its hard to feel that way when you really don't want to be like that. I guess the only way to deal with it is to accept that it will probably happen and to prepare yourself mentally. Its crazy but even when I wasnt ttc I would always feel a tiny pang of jealousy when someone announced their pregnancy. But the feeling goes away fairly quickly and then I'm happy for them.

I can relate too! My friend got pregnant by accident (her coil expelled itself!) and when she told me I just cried! Whilst I am beyond excited for her and cannot wait to meet her bundle of cuteness (I rock at being an auntie 🙌🏻) I cannot help but feel jealous!
I think it's a completely natural feeling, so don't feel bad! As long as you don't show it obviously! I'm so honest with my bestie she already knows I'm jealous haha! But she also knows I'm more happy for her than jealous! ❤️
