False negative

Curious how common a false negative pregnancy test is.

I took a test on 12/16 with a very clear positive and another on 12/20 that showed negative. My last period was 11/10.

No bleeding or signs of a miscarriage. Both tests were first response & taken in the morning. The positive test was the normal one with two lines, the negative was a digital version.

I already have an appointment set up with my doctor, it’s just not until after the holidays so I’m a bit concerned and would’ve any advice or information!

I think the digital ones are less sensitive. It may just be that you have to wait a little longer for your hcg levels to rise x

I just took another normal one and still two lines—lighter, but it’s the middle of the afternoon so urine is likely to be diluted...taking this as a good sign and all is well Grin

Definitely digital ones are a lot less sensitive! Glad things are looking good OP Flowers
