Pregnancy less than a month after miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage on 23rd Nov. I was absolutely devastated and still am. However, I’ve had unprotected sex four times since then. I know, I shouldn’t have but I completely forgot about protection. What is the likelihood that I’m pregnant? And when should I test considering I don’t know when I’m meant to get a period?

It's not unheard of but chances are slim.

Firstly I'm very sorry about your miscarriage.

I had to have an induced miscarriage at 12 weeks due to the baby being dangerously unwell - we fell pregnant again only three weeks after the procedure, just a week after I'd stopped bleeding. We were shocked that it could happen so quickly, I'll be 37 weeks pregnant tomorrow. So it absolutely can happen though I'm not sure how common it is.

I decided to take a pregnancy test when my period hadn't returned eight weeks after the induced miscarriage and I had a weeks worth if positive ovulation tests. Lots and lots of luck to you. 💛

When I MC they told me that ideally you should wait until you've had 1 cycle but there's no risks involved if you don't, it just makes the dating process a little harder early on as you don't know the first day of your last period. We didn't wait. My cycle was back to normal within a fortnight, I conceived 4 cycles later (currently 23 weeks). They also say that if you conceive within 6 months of your MC you are statistically less likely to MC again, but don't think they really know why that is! Good luck x
