Recurrent Miscarriage Referral - how long?

I was referred by my GP after having 3 consecutive miscarriages. I received a letter saying that I’d been added to the waiting list. I called today to ask about the wait time and she said it’s quite a few months Shock She said if it were an urgent referral it would be approx 8 weeks. What constitutes urgent?!
Is this the norm?

I think about 6 months is standard.

I had my 1st appointment 7 weeks after my referral was sent. The Dr in the EPAU sent it off when I went in for surgical management of my MMC - so this probably sped up the process a bit.

I think it varies a lot depending on your location. This was in the East Midlands.

Just FYI I did manage to get mine moved a bit quicker because I am 40... in case that helps (It was still about 3 months).

Also now, when I have a follow up appt in March, they did say I could try calling them in January for any last-minute cancellations. So my advice would be to keep calling and trying!

Thank you, seems it’s pretty normal then.
